What is it like at the big end of town...? crazy, it seems when it comes to money and malfeasance... and us little people are still trying to find ways to reduce the fees and charges on our savings accounts... ASIC being dragged into it all makes it even more revealing to outsiders how this rotten system feeds itself... BTW Michael, one of your wooden columns is upside down... (the OCD part of me would like them to match please...)

Comyn owes fiduciary duties, including duties of confidentiality, to the bank. The subpoena compels him to breach those duties - or overrides those duties, depending on which way you look at it. Either way, the exact scope of the subpoena becomes crucially important - if he discloses anything not strictly required to be disclosed by the sibpoena and thats confidential, he just breached his duties to the bank. So he’s going to be walking the razor’s edge on this. It may also be possible to challenge the scope of the subpoena, depending what the exact issues are. Whatever happens, it will be messy.

Great reporting Michael! I remember how you went after the directors of City Pacific First Mortgage Fund which by the way is still not wound up some 16 years after you highlighted the corporation act breaches which eventually the court ruled the directors breached. ASIC completely a sleep at the wheel. Unitholders completely screwed over…. Will be interesting how this CBA, ASIC and others plays out.

I will watch this with interest. Umm and the next part is not about the content but your background. Nice fireplace, but I spent more of the video looking at it than looking at you. It was visual clutter. I would go back to how you used to set these up. The offset angle was more visually interesting, and you were the dominant part of the frame.
