a series i looked for everywhere, had to drive over an hour to a library that had it on dvd! No regrets, this series is one of the best from start to finish, mirrors the book almost exactly

Do you think Jackie lets adora poison her too? She’s sick with a bit of everything, somethings that to book uses to hint that it’s the poison’s doing. Besides, adora had Jackie under her thumb for decades.

Feeding her "medicine" made of diluted rat poison for years on end, until she finally died of it. She wanted her daughter to be sick so she could take care of her and have everyone around her feel sorry for her and worship her as the poor, suffering, self-sacrificing mother of a sick child.
