Every good costume needs a fitting prop! For Svetlana's Shadow Stalwart armor we decided to build a replica of the Shadow Sharpshot Bow. One week for the 3D model and two weeks to print and finish it. This was a crazy sleepless ride but I'm glad we made it in the end! Super happy how it turned out and this will definitely go up on our display wall later! ;)

There are two kinds of people. Those that enjoy sanding and those that don't. I love the hairspray chipping techique it gives the piece such a wonderful used look. Excellent job!

I find it therapeutic :P I know, I must be insane. But it's like my version of meditation. Just with loads of dust. Of course it's a double edged sword. If it starts to go wrong it'll probably put me in a bad mood >:C

What material do you print your models in? I printed the pattern I bought from you on PLA plastic, but the pieces are so fragile that they are constantly breaking and sanding is nearly impossible.

Benny! Great job. You could weather and age the handle fabric with a bit of black coffee brushed on. Given the character's battle exploits and environment, her bow handle would get very dirty very quickly.

Andere Frage, für die Airbrush: wenn ich Federn besprühe, kann ich da ganz normale Airbrushfarbe nehmen oder was habt ihr genutzt? (Ich hab eine Airbrush geschenkt bekommen, hab die aber noch nicht benutzt.) :)

I'm currently learning how to model (shout out to Benni for his Fallout pistol vid for getting me started) and I can only hope to be at Jakob's leve. some day! I would def love to see those files, at least to get a feel for the model, don't know if I would just straight up print it myself. How else would I learn how to model my own!?

is there actual tensions from the bow? like would the arrow get enough force from the elastic and drawback of the bow that it acted like a real one and you could shoot stuff?
