Nice comparison and shave! I need to add a Weck to my collection. I've eye balled them before but just never pulled the trigger. Been on a straight razor kick and can hardly pull myself away from them. 😂 I've never experienced a problem myself with the ProGuard blades. But have heard some guys say they can pull the hair as it can get caught between the blade and wire guard. But you discovered the blade was just getting dull in this case.

I’ve been thinking of pulling the trigger on both of these shavette types. I’ve only ever used a real straight, but the upkeep is challenging and I don’t feel good enough to get the smoothest shave. I’ve also wondered about the Monsieur Charles injector blade shavette.

Great shave. Really like my AC razors, but I have not yet had a chance to try out one of the Schick proline blades.
