Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on KZfaq, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on KZfaq. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on KZfaq, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

Just look at the Class in these Gentlemen, and that Lovely lady, her dress, her hair that smile!! My goodness! I've seen other reactors ask over and over saying, "What happened to music. Why don't we have this now?" Exactly! Groups like these were nothing short of The Best! What happened, was Woodstock, Vietnam and a breakdown of music that consisted of Simply....Love! The late 60's shifted and in my opinion took a hard turn to the wrong road. So glad we still can hear and see these amazing Talented groups. No auto tune, repasting, computer generated to make someone 'sound like' they had talent. These artists worked at their crafts and talents and put effort into the amazing gift God gave them! Wonderful!

Carl Perkins had a hit with this not long after and I really love that version as well. I'm so glad that you're checking out this kind of music. There is so much there. This is one of the really early ones and the recording quality is fantastic given the limitations of the time. Louis Jordan, There Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens is a great introduction to even a slightly earlier phase of that era but it's directly linked. Louis Jordan was the consummate sax player and Entertainer in vocalist. He broke so many molds as a black man. Many of his songs got so popular and they've been quoted so to speak musically throughout the ages. Another fantastic one by him that I found out my grandmother loved, but I was introduced to it in the early eighties by Joe Jackson who covered a lot of this early important stuff. Is You Is Or Is You Ain't Ma Baby.

the PLATTERS were one of the " go to " groups of the mid and late 50's. they were in the 1956 movie 'rock around the clock' doing their big hits live along with BILL HALEY AND HIS COMETS , FREDDIE BELL AND HIS BELLBOYS - a relatively unknown band that had an earlier rock sound . also in the movie was ALAN FREED - legendary 50's d.j. and promotor that organized huge rock shows at the time with 5 to 10 top acts in one monster show. this performance was from that movie .that's ALAN FREED being seated at the table at 2:45 with the dark hair. great movie to own - i have it on dvd and watch it once or twice a year

My mom was a teenager i a small town in France in the 50s and she was a big fan of the Platters (also, separately, to whatever old-style jazz artists would tour in the region). So I grew up listening to her records of the Patters, Louis Armstrong, and Sidney Bechet (and French disciple Claude Luter).

The Platters' songs are classics. I seriously could listen to them all day. Other favourites I think you'd enjoy are the iconic "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" (1959), "Remember When" (1959) and "Red Sails in the Sunset" (1960). Simply gorgeous. The bizarre thing about this video is that while the musicians and singers were Black, no-one in the audience was . . . I guess a sign of the times at that time in the U.S.

The Platters were major hit makers throughout the 1950's and into the early 1960's. Many of their songs are considered standards today. Other great songs worth checking out include "The Great Pretender", "Twighlight Time", "The Magic Touch" and "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes."

The Platters and The Penguins had the same manager. Mercury Records was eager to sign the Penguins because they thought the group was going to be really big. The manager told Mercury he would only let them sign The Penguins if they would also sign The Platters. Mercury wasn't very interested in The Platters, but they agreed to sign both groups anyway. The Platters went on to major success and lots of hit records. The Penguins only had one hit, "Earth Angel", and then disappeared.

Yes sir, one of the most iconic groups of the 50's & 60's! I appreciate your info about artists and your reactions! As a side note, in that video, the man who arrives at the table after the couple are seated, is Alan Freed. He was one of the first, best and most popular DJ's in NYC, who was instrumental (pun intended) in introducing and promoting Rock and Roll for years! I think you can see him in the old movie, "Rock and the Clock!"

Here's a new artist that I've referenced before to give a listen, if interested. "Paul Butterfield Blues Band - Driftin' Blues (Monterey 1967)" (by the channel: Rodrigo Faulhaber Ferreira) --Butterfield was an American blues harmonica player, singer and bandleader. He started out as a classically trained flautist but developed an interest in the blues, and as they say the rest is history. Take care brotherman and thanks for sharing. peace out~
