so the beans are going to grow up the sunflowers wow you are freakin clever what an idea you know I'm glad I watch this video love it

It was the practice of native americans, in the three sisters, that started it. Even in Europe people would grow grapes and other climbing plants up trees as a natural trellis. People had less back then, but it only meant they had to be more resourceful than we are.

you should sell the hybrids on Amazon, i would buy them

Right on about sunflowers attracting bees! They are a bee magnet. I recommend planting sunflowers in any garden, even if you don't eat the seeds. I don't eat the seeds. I Ieave them for the beautiful goldfinches. A sunflower's flowers aren't deep. So it'll attract the smaller native pollinators, like sweat bees and leafcutter bees. If possible, put a bee house near the sunflowers. You'll get leafcutter bees making nests.

Hey Shawn. I don't know if you saw my previous comment on your mouse trap video about putting a disclaimer in the beginning of your trap videos, but if you do that it should really help with your censorship issues. There is tons of videos on KZfaq with violent content that don't get messed with just because of their viewer discretion disclaimer at the beginning of the videos. Look into it
@ShawnWoodsMousetrapMonday7 жыл бұрын
It doesn't help at all. Actually all the videos where I included a disclaimer were the first to be censored.
@nicholaicrawson33057 жыл бұрын
Shawn Woods it's sad to see that you are getting hate for putting informational videos on KZfaq why don't people pick on PewDiePie he says about 30 swears every video. or GTA videos that have stripers. But no they don't need a disclaimer. I appreciate what you're doing. you've even inspired me to start a garden! it only consists of Molokai purple potatoes but it's a start.
@nicholaicrawson33057 жыл бұрын
heck even some kids watch them thinking it's fine. Because there's no disclaimer telling them that there is going to be that mature content

Brendan Stanford I have chatted with some providers of hunting videos. They told me that yes, they don't get censored with a disclaimer, but they don't get to participate in the content provider finance program. Personally I think that sucks.. if the content is a legal non criminal activity it should not be discriminated against by youtube.

Cool video. I'm growing those Russian mammoth sunflowers and their about to flower! I'm doing a three sisters garden this year for the first time. Do you have any info on the layout for planting a three sisters garden. I wasn't sure if I should space out the sisters in a certain way so I just planted the corn first and when that started to sprout I planted the beans between them, and after a week I planted the squash intermixed between those. I think I planted them too far apart. The beans were not climbing the corn since they were too far spaced so I just put a trellace in there and now their climbing that. Love your garden and that you are growing native foods. That's been my goal. I would love to see a video tour of your garden.

I´ve read that there are varieties wich pollinate well if there are one or few plants. Yes better is have enought plants. Ive experiemented empty seeds in a white seed variety *dont know the name of the variety. Do you know about this, and sorry for my bad english.

Are there any short sunflowers that have a giant sized head? I want the mammoth sized heads, but not a 10+ foot tall plant, and large enough seeds for eating and feeding to livestock.
