I believe we need 2 gyms. 1 for females which will go bankrupt in about 2 days because women won't go to it because women only go to the gym to pick up dudes or be absolute bitches to dudes and the other gym for dudes which will actually increase gym memberships because guys go to gym to actually work out and most men have ignored the gym scene because they do not want to deal with psychotic women.

I've had this same issue happen to me. A girl was using a piece of equipment I wanted to use in the gym. So I moved on to my next exercise. But I kept checking to see when she was done. After about 4-5 GLANCES, she aggressively walks over to me and asks "Can I help you with something?". I simply replied I'm waiting for the equipment she was using to be free. Then asked how many more reps she had. Very quickly her attitude changed. All she could say was "Oh" and her eyes immediately went to the floor, shoulders dropped, turned around and walked back to the machine. Some of these women just need to get over themselves. I love confidence in a woman, but the arrogance to think that someone doesn't even have the right to look in their direction is just RIDICULOUS.

As a woman I fully understand that men are genetically programmed to look at women. I had a boyfriend once who apologized to me for glancing at a very pretty woman on the street. He said, "I'm not trying to look for any reason, my eyes just go there before I can stop them." Hey, so did mine. She was a very pretty human being. Nothing wrong with a glance. Probably has a former gf get bent out of shape about that to be so apologetic. A few times at the beach or anywhere, I've seen women so perfectly beautiful I've exclaimed to my guy, "Look at that beautiful woman!" If you make me feel like you would rather have that than what I've got, or make remarks in a certain way about a woman you see that are creepy or hurtful to me, or leer, that's different and I would distance myself not out of jealousy but because I don't care for your character. Did you see the one where Blind Pete gets "called out" for staring at a woman and even after he explains that he is blind and wasn't staring, she and the gym manager act as if he still did something wrong? So yeah, where a track suit if you don't want the glances. Get over yourself a little bit.

Years ago I was working as a lifeguard, who’s job is to obviously watch everyone in the centre. I happened to glance at a young girl during my scanning, and she yelled at me “get a good look?”. I replied “yeah it’s my job” and just shrugged my shoulders. She stormed off in a huff. About 30 minutes later she was in another pool and a toddler was struggling only a couple meters from her. I tried to get her attention (so she could help the child rather than me having to jump in) but she deliberately ignored me. I jumped in and rescued the child. All of a sudden I was “super nice” for doing my job. Seriously who gives a f who is looking at who? How is someone looking at you going to hurt you? We’ve all got eyes and chicks perv just as much as guys - anyone saying otherwise is full of it!

@@fabirkemarian6370 that is a valid point, but even with other simple backgrounds. I have ADHD and my eyes are shit (in Europe it's a +4.5, no idea in 20/20 terms). when I work out in the gym on treadmill or a stationary bike (because the outside is a clear-ice frozen hellscape) I take my glasses off, as they fog up. I literally see everything reaaaally blurry but because of my ADHD and the boring nature of running/cycling indoors my eyes absent-mindedly wander over every inch of my surroundings in a 1h session, without seeing much. hell, a lot of times I can't even see if it's a man or a woman, or a coat stand I am looking at. one time a person storms up to me, making an effort to stomp all the way, so of course I am looking at them approaching me. they start yelling, I take my headphones out, and hear "why are you looking at me?! that's rude and mysogonistic!" uhuh, I see blurry black jogging trousers, grey hoodie, and a hat - I can barely tell the colour of the skin, let alone sex of that person - I put my glasses on and said "if you bother me again, I will sue you for harrasment. I don't see shit and until you came up to me, yelling like an insane person in a public space, I didn't even know you ever existed" saw her completely red and embarrassed. then she walked away awkwardly as I took my glasses off. which, of course, fogged up immidiately. 🤣

Honestly I'm sick of this shit that "looking" is somehow perverted or wrong. We're human beings, not only are we social animals, but men have sexuality as well. Imagine the shaming someone would get if they acted aggressive at a gay guy looking at them and nothing more. People would call them a homophobe and socially shame them. It seems the only sexuality that's socially acceptable to vilify is straight guys. Imagine the 'slut shaming' people would get for calling out women sexualizing move stars like Henry Cavil. If we keep this up we'll end up like Aussie(no offense Isaac) where you can get charged for looking at a chick for more then fifteen seconds. Yes, that's a law, that is a thing. It's nuts. No one is harmed by a person looking at them. If they start following you, or doing actual weird shit? Sure. But just looking? Especially when they actively wear skimpy clothing? Yeah no, fuck that. Men are human to, they're going to look at times. It's in fact, normal to look. Regardless of the fact that this man wasn't staring at her anyways, she just wanted to win a gold medal at the oppression olympics.

And what is wrong with a person admiring the female form? Or vice versa? Artists have been doing that for thousands of years by recreating it in painting or statues etc. Also a nice looking body doesn't trump a fucked personality and unfortunately she shared hers by opening her mouth.

Even taking out the sexual/social aspect, humans are also very visually-minded. You know how people joke that Americans use odd units of measurement, and all those "how many washing machines of that" memes? There's a reason for that, and it's because humans are much better at drawing upon familiar visual memories to interpret a non-visual description. It's much easier to say the boulder that smashed your car during a rockslide is "the size of a washing machine" instead of saying it was "0.97m by 0.77m by 0.81m". And those ancient basic survival techniques of tracking movement and identifying points of interest are ingrained in our DNA. We are able to unconsciously detect and track things that are out of the ordinary or irregular. Try putting some perfectly straight sticks parallel to each other, move one ever so slightly, and you'll notice that it's out of place very easily, even if it's only off by half a degree. Someone, particularly a fit woman dressed in bright eye-catching and revealing/accentuating clothing, is going to draw attention in a public place simply by being there and moving around, especially a gym where you're surrounded by gray/black/white walls and equipment.

I don’t even think checking a girl out at a gym or in any setting is “being creepy”. If your attractive or fit expect people to look at you, it’s the very basic fundamental of human existence to be attracted to the opposite sex, if it bothers you that people check you out then do your very best to never go out in public. Everyone’s trying to make the point that he had to make sure she wasn’t revealing herself or using gym equipment properly and none of that should even matter, if he wanted to look at her he’s more than allowed to do so and same goes vice versa, seriously if you don’t want to be looked at don’t go outside, move under a rock. If a dude tried to touch you that’s a whole different story, if a dude walks up and sits down on the floor right behind you while you’re doing squats and proceeds to do nothing else then stare at you that’s a different story, but if someones working out at the gym and they check you out literally no harm has come, it’s a compliment that doesn’t effect you at all. You wouldn’t even notice that he looked at you unless you also looked at him? People are so dumb.

Men are psychologically hardwired to watch for threats - dates back to the days of the “caveman” when there were lots more threats. Nothing clearly registers unless it’s a real threat, and someone carrying a bag full of studio equipment is a clear threat. When were cameras even allowed in gyms when there’s no reason to? There are some places where we can/should expect some privacy and a gym is one place that personal camera gear is not required. If you need someone to “check your form” (the excuse given by all these saddos) then ask a professional - that’s what the staff are for. The guys don’t really give a toss about privacy (especially military veterans) but most women do, yet they wear clothing that’s unsuitable for a gym, then get their panties in a bunch if there’s any sign of a guy looking in her direction. To be fair that’s exactly why they wear skin tight Lycra (which gives this young woman a spare tyre) which does nothing except advertise how desperate you are for attention, but with all the equipment setup, then 30 minutes to take off her top she was clearly angling for a confrontation, which she received but not the result she expected. Well done to the gym for revoking her membership - not many places have the courage to say “no, enough is enough” as it can backfire. Under English law there’s a chance she could be trespassed for “causing harassment, alarm or distress to others” if the cops were involved especially as it’s now their “go to” default response if they can’t threaten you with something else.

I don't go to the gym but I often look at people when I'm out in public like at the shops or a restaurant or something too in a non-creepy way, I like to check my surroundings, see who is there, what people are doing, etc. It's completely normal and there is nothing wrong with it. People look at other people, especially when there is movement. It's a natural survival instinct. Now, that guy works at the Gym so naturally he's going to keep an eye on things to make sure everyone is playing by the rules. It's his job.

Apparently now, if you are looking around and looking at people to make sure you don't walk in to them that is fine. If that person is filming themselves and catches you looking at them in order to avoid them, well now you are a sex offender. What a f**king world we live in.

Absolutely. Due to certain events in my past I can't help but constantly keep track of everyone in the room or general area. I'm not being a creeper, I just need to do it for my own internal threat management. And I know plenty of other people that do the exact same thing. I think it comes down to people needing to understand that not everything is about them and just because someone looks at your for a second or two doesn't mean they are checking you out.

@@advert1489 Thats me. I notice every little movement around me. A light shimmer, someone running around, an insect thats 50 metres away from me, everyone 100 metres or more from me that's moving around in some shape or form i'm constantly looking. At a 24 lane bowling alley, I can stay one one lane near the middle, look straight ahead and zone out. when i zone out, i can see all 24 lanes. Which is something i have to constantly get myself out of doing because i dont realise i'm zoning out and i look like i'm staring straight ahead to where random people are bowling with a blank look on my face haha. But seriously end of the day, just because someone might be looking in your direction, they could be seeing so much more. I'm autistic and struggle with eye contact, i was taught to look through people to make it look like i am making eye contact. People have often tested me on this, they talk to me, i look through them while their face is right in front of mine, and i tell them exactly what is behind them and what I am seeing

I am a dude, but never liked pepole glancing, however I am not dumb to believe pepole won't do so. If I noticed them glancing at the gym, I just greeted them and went on with my buisness, usally it was one off thr employees or someone whonwanted the machine I was using, other times it might just been me looking like a twig doing heavy weights, but even I would have a bit off a laugh at that 🤣

Thank you for calling this behaviour out. And I have to say, if I saw someone filming in the gym and I was in the shot, I would demand they delete it or I'd go to the cops. I understand how you feel, but being photographed or filmed in public without your consent is legal in most cases. The courts have consistently ruled that people give up their right to reasonably expect privacy in public (including privately owned establishments). Unfortunately, unless someone is filming up your skirt (or something similarly lewd), there isn't much the police can do. The owner, management, or staff can ask the person filming to stop or leave, but in most cases, that's about all that can be done.
@oldfart5063

you can put pressure on the owner of the gym to prohibit filming . they are private owner operators and they have a right to do that . otherwise just keep blocking their cameras view . they'll start bitching and that gives you an excuse to complain about the disruption these idiots are causing by filming and the owner will get sick of it and ban cameras .

It always was. Women only ever really feel any accountability towards their children. But they also follow societal norms in a way men never will. Previously, the societal norm was "you are accountable to your husband". Right now, the societal norm is "you are accountable to other women, because patriarchy, girl power, sisterhood, etc...". So, there you have it, the two things modern women care about. Their children (due to their biology) and other women (due to culture).

This reminds me of the time in a parking lot with my young daughter. She was standing there digging away for boogers for all the world to see, and then momma tells her to stop. Daughter is mad because people sitting in a car with the windows rolled down might of heard mom say that. Don’t worry about the fact that it was obviously apparent but wasn’t a problem until daughter became self aware; she was projecting her own shame onto mom and misinterpreting the feeling These are young children who are only beginning to be self aware and are projecting all of their stupidity, naivety, and insecurities onto other people. If you go to the gym in skimpy tight clothes, stand around showing off and filming yourself someone is going to look at you. It might be because you’re attractive but more likely that you look like a stupid narcissist and may as well be digging for gold in your nose in public

This is in no way similar. Many people pick their nose unknowingly, your wife shamed your daughter in front of people and she reacted how most people would when they're shamed, especially when they're doing something unknowingly. Now you're blaming your daughter lmao. Not only are you a shit father, you protect your kunt of a wife over her like the whipped manchild you are and then go on the internet to shame her more for whatever reason. Are you so insecure that you have to constantly feel power over your own kid? You will probably not have a relationship with her in the future, and you deserve it.
