I was even sent pictures of "his mother" hanging from his back as he "took care of her and couldn't work at the time"....same scammer, different profile.🙄🙄🙄. Relentless. I just block them all. The reality is she is probably a decent, loving and trusting woman and she seemed to have been quite happy with men her own age but the reality is we are based in EGO--ALL OF US. And if you are lonely and a handsome man (or beautiful woman) gives you attention and you aren't familiar with the world of online catfish scams, it would be VERY easy to keep that dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin flowing at any cost. I fell for the same trap, and I sent money--the WHOLE time in my gut I had a weird feeling but I chose the feel good feelings of my delusion. The reality is, a very attractive man or woman is going to seek out someone similar. You aren't going to get a message from a legitimate IG model if you don't have the social proof of celebrity or money. So if that is happening to you, assume its a scam.

yeah i had one scammer who tried to bait me for a month or two, and this was last year he is still trying to get me lol, some ask for money quick and some take their time to really get the unsuspecting person hooked. But yeah never send money to any one online that you have never met face to face and then even that. When people are empty in the heart, only God can fill that spot and make you truly content in your life. God has blessed me with His grace and love, joy and peace. praise His holy name!

Some banks genuinely do this. Speaking from experience. My mom and I went on a trip to visit family in Alaska (we lived in California) and my mom’s card declined on groceries and right after our bank called and told her they prevented a fraudulent charge in Alaska. She told them she was standing in line at the grocery store… in Alaska… they unfroze the card and she was able to make the purchase after that.

It took me getting on the phone with this guy and tell him I brought law enforcement in to get him to stop taking her calls and get her to see through the scam. My father-in-law lost his home, money and freedom because of a romance scam. He refused to listen to his family - even after we gave him proof. He still to this day has hope that this mystery woman will show up and want to marry him. We ended up tracing the photos, emails, and addresses to a sex offender in Texas. The people that fall into these romance scams are mentally ill and need help.

I’m not sure all of them are mentally ill but very lonely. But I agree with you. A wealthy lady on Dr. Phil, who had lost her husband of 45 years, sold her house, cashed in some of her retirement investments that her very successful husband had set up for her. She ended up sending over a million to one of these scumbags! Her 2 sisters were on the show and it was like the more they tried to warn and protect her the more determined she was to continue to send him money. She was her own worst enemy!

Once they start saying "my love" and "my queen", know that you're talking to a Nigerian scammer. The sad part is these scammers never even change their script, they've been saying the same things for decades. To be honest at this point it's too many shows like this including Dr. Phil, that helps people to avoid these kinds of scams. Some of these people just love the idea of being in love and living in a fantasy, until they have drained their bank accounts behind this foolishness! 🤦🏾‍♀️

I used to work in recruiting and we hired a lot of Nigerian immigrants. One guy that I hired called me his Sister after that... lol now I wonder if I was scammed into hiring him!! 🤣🤣 (Not really, but those Nigerian guys really know how to sweet talk a girl lol)
