Vivian Gordon came to New York to find fame and fortune on the stage. Instead, she became a high-end call girl and blackmailer. She associated with gangsters and corrupt city officials. Her life ended tragically, victim of knowing too much about the Mob’s corrupt connections with police and political leaders. At our June 13, 2024 program, reporter and Mob historian Anthony M. DeStefano shared Gordon’s story, revealing the dark underbelly of Jazz Age New York.

Thank you, I truly appreciate your work. I found it fascinating. I for some reason.... don't really believe her daughter committed suicide. I guess I'll have to get the book. I think she was silenced just for good measure. It's interesting though to ponder how nothing really changes. It's still no different today. Well, thanks again. History is always fascinating.
