I mean, they had just previously fought Cell who could regenerate himself all the way back from a single cell; so why do they think Buu is dead when there’re visible chunks of him everywhere? And they already knew he could regenerate to some extent. Turns out Buu’s regeneration is beyond even Cell’s ability.

This saga was fire, only thing that let's it down for me is all the filler episodes with Gotenks. The manga version is so much shorter and better but they proper drag it out and it becomes rediculous in the anime

Hit (scaled down in power for DBZ) would have no chance against Buu. None of his attacks can kill him. Like you said, Buu doesn’t have vital areas. Remember Buu also has the ability to copy opponents’ techniques after seeing them! So Buu might learn to Time Skip!

One misconception is the blows from Vegeta were actually hurting him. They did damage but his recovery was just too powerful for it to be lasting damage

If Vegeta had not shown up and distracted Buu from killing the Supreme Kai, he would have never learned God Ki/Ultra Ego/etc.

Well, if I recall correctly, there's about a 6 month gap between the end of Z and the start of Super. It was said by Hit in Super that he was over a thousand years old. So that said, I don't see why the Hit at the time of the Buu saga would have any lessened power difference when they met Hit in Super. But as far as beating Buu, that's tough to call as Hit typically time skips and hits his targets heart. I don't even know if Buu has a heart🤷🏾‍♂️. He is stronger than Buu for sure, but due to Buu's body manipulation, Idk what attack Hit would use to end him, but with over a thousand years of experience under his belt, I'd bet he'd figure something out. We saw him evolve his thinking on spot against Goku, no reason he wouldn't against Buu.

This didn't close the gap between Vegeta and Goku. Goku could have gone Super Saiyan 3 in this fight he confirmed this when he was fighting kid Buu. Goku just didn't want to embarrass Vegeta out of respect. Vegeta did a desperate move by getting help and seeing Super Saiyan 3 would have destroyed him mentally like Frieza did.

If hit and buu had the same power level there is no way hit would beat buu

It sounds like. Buu cells are made from a tough rubber so they would need more power even more than cell so basically blow him to the sun and destroy those rubber like cells. And hit is buffed. Saiyan even in god form should be over kill but then db super wouldnt be fu

"can he regenerate his brain though"....oh you will soon see Spoilers: also yes it is true the cell's regeneration ability is good but remember as long as there is a single CELL he can regenerate not particle or molecule. Buu in the time chamber LITERALLY REGENERATED FROM GAS aka molecules and could probably do the same with single atoms. If you didn't already know of course atoms are 10^8 times smaller than a cell (100000000 times smaller) meaning buu's regeneration ability is much more superior to cells. Also, cell is purely biomechanical meaning that when he regenerates it's limbs, legs, basically entire organs, he prob can not manipulate each one of his cells individually to regenerate smaller fragments of himself (especially all at once) and when he does regenerate it takes some effort and some pain (like piccolo). However as you saw here and will see in the time chamber buu can literally manipulate each molecule of himself and repair any area with no effort. So basically this is the first time in dragon ball that an enemy has regeneration this impressive

It's important to understand that Buu was not born of any kind of mother. Buu was born of magic. His whole body is sentient magic. Therefore he can completely regenerate just so long as there is a little bit of him left. Exactly like Cell, tbh.

Hit would wear him down maybe, but hit would still be as strong as he was before he fought goku. Hit was over 1000 years old when he fought goku. But the question is would he be able to wear down his stamina before he exhausted himself doing so, because buu at that stage technically has divine energy he can't harness inside of that body.

While it might sound selfish sometimes when he’s saying it vegeta in the end did choose to save the world so he could one aveange gohan since he thought he was dead and he blamed himself for that. And two to protect everyone inculding Goku because of everything Goku has done not only for him but for everyone . And cause he did want some credit but that wasn’t the main reason.
