MARRIED couple Scott and Divine have been together for five years and are often judged based on their appearance. The couple met online in 2017 when Divine added and messaged Scott on Facebook and had mistaken him for someone else. When Scott realised it wasn’t a spam account and it was a genuine mistake, he thought he would still take the opportunity to respond and get to know Divine. After a few conversations they hit it off and started a long distance relationship. Later that year Scott flew from the US to the Philippines to meet Divine in person for the first time. He thought Divine was the one and proposed to her while he was out there. After a few years of being in a long distance relationship, Divine visited Scott in the US and the couple got married. Divine then started sharing videos of the couple online and this brought a lot of negative comments. Because of the nature of their relationship, people assume that Divine is using Scott for a green card or is only with him for money. Online trolls also find it hard to believe that Divine would be attracted to Scott. At first the comments hurt the couple but they are so repetitive now that they have become used to it. Scott told Truly: “Because you keep seeing the same thing over and over again… There's just no effect anymore." The couple no longer take the comments to heart and use them to fuel their creativity and make funny videos in response to them.

If not then it’s not true love, though i it’s understandable if most people put looks on par with personality. She obviously loves him though.

My aunt was a single mom from the Philippines and my American uncle met her at their work place and fell so hard for her. She rejected him multiple times because culturally people look down on her and she didn't really think she deserves a chance at love because she was "tainted". When she eventually started dating him it really changed her life, she gained a loving husband and father for her son. They've been together for 40 years and people still judge them! The funniest is when they assume she's a young gold digger when she is 5 years older than my uncle!

People have a problem when white men date non white women. I always throught it was only when the women was asian due to stereotypes but nope. A black woman married a older white man, people assumed she was with him for papers and money when not only was she rich but she was a citizen while the white man wasnt. My cousin is half black half white, and when she get out with my uncle, people think she is a gold digger. The best part, she look exactly like her dad except she's slightly tanned. Apparently its happens often with biracial women with their white father. People need to learn to mind their own business.

I’m sure at times people have thought my wife married me for a green card. 20+ years and a kid later if she’s scamming me she’s playing the long con. She’s been a citizen for a long time now and she makes more money than I do now, so it’s a weird scam. Sometimes people just mesh. Watching this video these people seem to genuinely have chemistry. I wish them nothing but happiness.

My sister in law is filipino. She and my brother have been together for over 30 years. She did marry him to better her circumstances. He works long hours and two jobs just to make ends meet when he should be retired. She just takes his money out and goes back to the Philippines for a month without even telling him! So yes it is possible after even 30 years and 2 grown up kids to be ‘scamming’ someone.

The way that she proudly said "6 times" when he was telling the story of being able to travel. Only someone who really loves someone announces their accomplishments and special moments like that. The fact he overcame his illness and she added not only did he travel once but "6 times" as she said shows how important he is to her. Maybe they won't work out like millions of other couples but they look truly happy and I wish them the best.

I've always seen their videos and the amount of hate they got is sickening. It's 2023. Not everyone is superficial nor materialistic. You can get a hot guy everywhere but having someone you can connect with mentally and treats you right too is a fairytale that not everyone is lucky to find. Once you fall in love with someone's personality, everything else about them becomes beautiful too

My step father died from scleroderma. His lips started turning inward just like this and he eventually became paralyzed from the neck down before he died. I'm so glad that this guy has been able to live a longer life and find true love! Everyone deserves that

That's very problematic. It happened to me when I was in a relationship with a Japanese guy. We fell in love, it was genuine and innocent but people from his side were telling him I was after his money and people from my side telling me he was after me because of my "European looks". Our relationship didn't make it past the fifth year, because I didn't want to move to Japan and he couldn't leave his country and job there (At first he said he would). We parted without any argument and we both keep good memories of each other. Life is not always about benefits. We love who we love, it just so happen that sometimes we fall for people so different from us that we can hardly justify what we love about them...that's why you should never try to explain love. Love is love, it ain't supposed to make sense

you can clearly see the chemistry these two have- I have a husband from another country and its not a five day process to get him into the USA and he has a very privileged passport (australia). If someone is marrying an american to get a green card they have oscar award winning level acting and the patience of a literal rock, they also have to have emotions of steel because its not an easy process and I would definitely describe it as an emotional rollercoaster.

I love seeing this cute couple together and to me they seem totally genuine and happy. They have gone to great lengths to build their relationship and to be together -any (citizenship) benefits that come along with it are just extras. I am especially happy for Scott to have found the love of his life when he'd spent so long being defined by his illness & may have felt he would never find love. And how much confidence it's brought him. No body knows what the future will bring so just enjoy the now! I hope their relationship continues to blossom & I wish them every happiness. ❤

My sister died of scleroderma at age 52. It is a brutal disease. So glad he has come this far and found someone that loves him for what is inside and not judging him on the exterior (which this disease ravages.).

Hey guys, I know that scleroderma is extremely rough. We have a friend who also has the autoimmune disease. So horrible! However, I'm so glad that you guys were able to find happiness with each other. As a retired police officer and currently a Sommelier running my own business, life can be busy and people sometimes forget to stop and immerse themselves in the ones they love...what really matters! Focus on that and keep the disease as a side note. Also, realize that every time someone makes a poor comment, it's just because they're alone, jealous, and lashing out at your success. I would take it about as seriously as I take toilet paper. Enjoy your life and never let anyone make you feel down from social media. In the main, I do no social media at all because I find it to be non-fulfilling. Sadly - and not everyone - people do social media out of some form of narcissism and a need for false gratification because they want a bunch of likes or hearts. Ridiculous! The only likes anyone ever needs is from those they surround themselves with that love them.

I am very good looking 36 years old woman. And I have 3 rheumatic diseases. Fibromyalgia, osteopenia and vertebral column osteophytosis. When people find out they just lose interest because my life it's very limited and I am not advised to have children for my own health. Men don't want a sick woman. So it's not only how u look. I am single for many years now and kinda feeling better and safe alone..... God bless you both ❤

I feel you, I have epilepsy, pcos, insulin issues, other auutoimmune issues, and cant have children (I never felt that I wanted kids so that is fine for me). My longterm relationship went havoc because I became sicker. And after that I got sicker because I was shamed for being sick..I don't tryto date because guys are just not interested in me after telling them that I have epilepsy and I did not even mentioned them the rest. But I need to inform people about the epilepsy thingy at the very beginning. People should know what to do in case of a seizure,right? Nobody cares that I have a job with high salary and doing my phd studies despite all the odds. And I know that I am not ugly.

No one is hating. If they work out then great, but watch out for green card chasers. They exist and are rampant. Sometimes it works out cuz the girl knows she can’t do better wealth wise but other times they will divorce out and take their share.

I'm doing good that's for asking. I'm 47 years old and I was diagnosed in 1987 when I was 12 years old and also have raynauds disease. There are good and bad days but I still keep going

I am in a long distance relationship myself. Not as long distance as you two. He is in the UK and I am in the Netherlands. I respect her because it takes a strong person to be with someone with a disability… I have 8 conditions and a few of them are chronic… and it effects me a lot but also the people around me. I feel like it’ll take a real special person to be with someone that’s chronically ill so I think she really loves him, if she wanted just the green card she would of been left.

I feel your pain - I'm a disabled veteran from a traumatic brain injury that gave me Type II Narcolepsy, seizures, neuropathy, headaches/migraines and gave PTSD, Depression, Anxiety and orthopedic conditions too...I've worked hard on myself and continue to do so, and am fighting through to give myself a quality life. My children need me around as well... You are so right about finding the right person for partnership - people always want to volunteer until they truly see the hardships that come along with it. I am from India. I am here in 🇺🇸 USA since 2019. Me and my wife met through Facebook. All of her friends told her it’s a lie. He wants to marry you for the Green Card. My wife visited me 4 times before bringing me here. I have two beautiful kids with her. True love always conquers all. Also, I make more money than my wife made. And she loves that. She is at home for now, to raise our kids.

People said that about my husband: from Mexico- that he wanted a green card or wanted money. When I lost my job he became a truck driver to pay ALL our bills and he showed me unconditional love. Actually it takes long to get a green card. So 4 years is actually not bad. The average time it takes to process a green card for a foreign spouse is 5 years Relationships involving a foreigner especially from poor countries get alot of attention due to green card issue let alone a relationship where the American guy has a disability. So its normal for people to see this relationship from that angle. I saw alot of touching but no kissing. The only person who knows if it’s about the green card is her. I hope its not about that. He deserves to be loved unconditionally. It would be inhumane for her to take advantage of him. Good luck to them.

Social media really making people conceited. It's real people. You can tell by how she smiles, giggles and looks at him in the eyes hella long. Many people can't do that with just anyone. I was thinking the same thing, cause so many business use the customer call centers in the Philippines, India and other countries. It's scary to think how many of those workers save customers Information and what they could do with it, even credit and debit card info they may have access to if customers have to provide it for whatever reason.
