To say they are hard to look at when they're older is just very inhumane to say. Everyone gets old, it's just the way it is, and to rub an actors face in the mud because they don't look the same anymore is just flat out mean. Maybe you could label is "Then and Now" or something less insulting.

More time? Cosmetic surgery alters skin, tissue, bone.....not time. So many really good looking people have destroyed their faces and bodies. Its sadly ironic that this gives their careers less time or kills their career altogether. .im not sure how making your face look like its frozen and swollen in time, when the rest of the skin moves around it, adds quality to life. huge lips give a duck face effect.

@@deedee5562 I think you misunderstood him. " Some people are not obsessed with looks, just want more time in life." It would have been bizarre if my grandmother had slathered herself with cosmetics and lip-enlarging surgery. I loved her just as she was, even more now that she's gone. I myself am at this time 84. Why cant people understand getting old. Is the latest stage of A long life. Very few and i Mean few, can still have That little bit of youth Look. But. Would not know how it was kept. Nature, or money. But every body. Old is There for everyone Who makes it that far. And thats when its Time to inbrace it. Live it the fullest if Can do it.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this topic. I agree that aging is a natural process that everyone goes through, and it's important to embrace it. However, I also understand that societal pressures can make people feel like they need to look young forever. I think it's important to find a balance between accepting aging and taking care of ourselves.

You are *absolutely correct,* Sandra. I'd *love* to describe 1 of mine... One of the *Most Beautiful* people I've ever known was my Grandma (by marriage, but it didn't matter to me - she was the Best Grandma Ever). I'm an old lady now myself, but i was just 12 when she passed. I *still* miss the softness of her cheek against mine as she gave her warm hugs, and the smell of her perfume. I miss the kindness of her soul, and her gently sparkling wit. It's been many decades since she left us, but I *Still* miss her. No one who knew her well would have described her as anything other than beautiful, inside & out. She was in her early 90's when she went to Heaven. We all thought she was 4 years younger. But she'd married a younger man (my grandfather), years after she was widowed. Turns out, she'd been fibbing about her age, lol. The pressure we "chicks" feel (to appear "Perfect" when *no* perfect human exists) has seemingly always been around. *It frankly sucks.* Ageism isn't much different than racism, sexism, or any other form of bullying bigotry. *All* of us *can* do *better than that,* IF we *try.* 💞

Those people who judge others who are now older are hypocritical and while everyone has a right to their opinion, if there is nothing good to offer, better to keep quiet. Many celebrities have been through a lot during their hey days. They too have feelings. Moreover, those who do say bad things should remember that they too will grow old. Silence is golden.

Several of these women are just beautiful inside and out. Plus they have such a gift. So much talent. Hunt and McGillis are just two of those portrayed that have stunning talent. Hunt and McGillis are such gifted actresses and are just drop dead gorgeous. I think Hollywood is suffering because they think youthful beauty wins out over beauty and talent. It don't. Just using these two for examples. Hunt, as she's had so many great roles, and McGillis, in top gun, and someone else playing her part, would have never been as good as it was. Tom doesn't have the acting talent to pull that movie up to where it needed to be. Action/romance movies are either one or the other. This was both and that's because of her. I wonder how many roles she could have (and still should have).
