Shed Repo?
Yes just like cars and anything else people buy them on rent-to-own terms and if they fail to make their payments it gets REPOED.
I understand people fall on hard times and that sucks but it all comes down to responsibly,
If you can't pay you can always voluntarily return the it.
Then there is this...
“Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it ... he who doesn't ... pays it.”
― Albert Einstein

I see it's pretty common for you to have to disconnect the electricity to the sheds. You should put a kit together with a non contact voltage tester, Klein 11 in 1 screwdriver, Klein insulated cable cutters and a circuit breaker tripping tool. With the tripping tool you can plug it in and with the push of a button it will trip the circuit breaker feeding the shed. With those 4 tools in a little pouch you could handle any shed power disconnection job safely.

I grew up in a situation like this. Seemed like every day there was a fear or loosing a car, electric, or the house. I left when I was 18 and joined a labors union and started working. 15 years later I now own a new home outright, and own my own business that does environmental cleanups. Growing up like this gave me a drive to do much better for myself. And best of all no poop bucket!

I also grew up in crushing poverty. I learned how to work. Some people just can't figure it out. The key is to be dependable n want to learn. Employers will go for the person that is gonna be there n learn fast. I have a much better life now. It sounds corny but working hard is the key. Some jobs won't appreciate it but keep moving on until you find that employer that does appreciate it.

I like to see people succeed. From the age off 10 to 11 I made a shit load of money selling mangroves for erosion control. I sold 10,000 @ $6 each. Not bad for a 10 yo's lemonaide stand. At 12 I moved out and never looked back. Quit school 2 weeks into the 7th grade. The town cop said I was better off living on the free boat I got from the marina and anchored in the bay than in an orphanage. I didn't want to work, but people started to offer me a lot of money to come find a job in their business. I don't know what it was, no ediucation. All I had going was good work ethics. I quit sailing in the US because people were always offering me work. Then I started getting offers there but at least it was good money like delivering a boat to the USA. I didn't really start a business because I preferred to sail around south america in a sailboat until somebody offered me enough money to stop and anchor up in one spot for a while. I retired at 40 and baught an anuity and then I got social security. I am living pretty well now.

I was a single mom and no matter how poor we were, it was ALWAYS my number 1 priority to pay my rent. As long as you have a place to live, you are safe. I’m on no-ones side, but wish to share that I had a mum, now passed, who was not mentally capable of dealing with much, and she was a great mum, to the best of her very limited abilities. So us kids grew up in pretty bad conditions, but luckily no abuse etc. She just didn’t have life skills. I remember her once only ever asking me to help her, and that was when she couldn’t cope with having to contact a court when her and dad were divorcing. She just couldn’t do it. Too traumatic for her. And I proudly did bc I knew she couldn’t, and that she wouldn’t have asked me if she could. In retrospect, it was effed up asking a maybe 12 yo to do that, but she must’ve been beside herself with trauma and fear and had no one else to help. I’m my now 55 years, I too have found myself in a few horrid situations of not having ANYONE (but God) to help. So I totally get there is sometimes several reasons people need help from those that really shouldn’t be. So please be careful to not cast stones in a glass house. Take care, it may be you some time.

As @thomasbaye4805 said times are harder now than they have been since the depression. Some parents whether it be single or couples have found themselves on hard times at no fault to their own. Parents who dont drink or do drugs are doing everything possible everything but still find themselves falling farther behind. Im not talking about the ones who wont work, take accountability, make excuses etc. There is familys facing evictions, living in motels, shelters, with family/friends, having their car repoed, loosing their homes and barley putting food on the table that was for the most part financially stable less than 5yrs ago. Due to job cuts, company shut downs, covid and inflation on EVERYTHING americans are not in a good place right now. There are the ones who are workin 2-3 jobs but still find themselves in these situations. I have creditors calling me 24/7 but I have nothing to give them. I am $700,000.00 in medical bill debt. When you have 20 different creditors wanting a monthly payment of 100 bucks a month on top of our other bills its impossible. They say the wont take a smaller payment they want x amount. Its my husband and I he worked because I can not. Working for walmart your not living a luxurious life. We was denied all benefits because he made too much. We have no credit cards. Never qualified and dont want one. We lived within our means, nothing extra and own a older used car. There has been so many times if it wasnt for food pantries and extra stuff my daughter gets on her wic she dont use we would have went hungry. There are the cases where the parents need to do better but there are cases where they are doing everything possible.

Josh you are the kindest, helpful and peaceful person when it comes to these repos. I watch so many of these repo channels where the person repoing is plain out right rude, not willing to do any listening, not offering to lift a hand to help get the personnel belongings out of the shed. When they remove the shed however they get it out they leave ruts, fencing down, and make comments the whole time as a voice over about the condition people are living in, the condition of the items the people are trying to remove or they are just out right rude. I enjoy watching your vlogs because you are respectful and while people are moving things out of the shed you are clearing the way to moving the shed out. Then you pitch in and help oryou just do what you can to get out their necessities then finish unhooking what you need to lime water, electric, heat source then put your wheels in place, hang your remote around your neck and bring it out like a big remote controlled trailer. You also always go back and put fences etc back howyou found them. Plus finish by trying to be nice giving them information on where to come get the rest of their belongings. You're hard to say to no to.

your continued kindness and thoughtfulness about the dogs in the end is really amazing. I used to drive a tow truck mostly emergency roadside assistance but I did a few repos for a guy who only had a wrecker at the time and needed my flat bed every now and again. I was apprehensive at first but he walked right up to the door and knocked, told the people he saw a car-seat and some clothes and didn't want to make an already tough time worse for them. That's when i learned it's not just a bunch of heartless pirates out there preying on people when they are having a rough time. It's good to see even when you had every right to be a jerk, you're just there to do your job. Good stuff! DON'T FORGET TO WEAR YOUR SEAT BELT!! LOL!!

I think they sort of thought squatters rights happened in this case. No, this is a shed, not a house. Her stating she had c&vid made me chuckle a bit. I had it and trust me, it's hell. Was that supposed to stop you from taking it? I have to move 5 hours away when I had it and my husband was transferred for work. I still had to pack and sort things to move. They knew it was happening, they knew they owed on it, so why the games?

@@dcg590 I had it 3 months after having radiation for a brain tumor. Compared to the other videos I have seen of your repos, this one was a walk in the park. Not raining, no muddy cow path lanes to drive down, not a lot of items to carry outside, not putting the shed on top of a flimsy foundation of wood and no confrontations. As for the daughter having to "stand in" for Mom, I would give Mom the benefit of the doubt on this one. She was sick and I think you saw a very attentive and responsible young lady helping out. That's just family sticking together.
