I heard that some Japanese janitors truly proud of their work demonstrate that by drinking from the toilet to show people how clean it is. So, in that sense, since the glasswares are not disposed of and are instead planned to be used in subsequent experiments, I'd be willing to drink from a properly cleaned cup. I mean, if I'm still working in a bio lab, my future career kinda depends on if that cup is clean enough for things. Of course, to make the cup clean engouh for subsequent lab work (and for drinking water) we usually "cook" it in high pressure and extreme heat for multiple hours, rather than just using extra-bubblely soap.

It was a test of his confidence. If he was so sure that it's clean he would've poured the water into the beaker and brought it upto his lips to drink from it; that's when she'd stop him.

He just didn't like taking orders from someone who only had one PhD and wasn't a physicist. Amy was too far beneath him to give orders.

@@rocketmom60😂 "too far beneath him" I'm pretty sure they are in Amy's lab working with biology. Sheldon is the one beneath Amy in this situation.

i dont think he ever went to college for biology so he didnt learn things meaning the reason why he doesnt know where it is because he never learned it also his memory has failed him before 0:47 / 1:47 Young Sheldon S05E09 Sheldon couldn’t complete his test

I love this scene because it's Amy laying the ground rules of their relationship, that she's not gonna be Sheldon's doormat and that he better respect her and what she does.

Even if I was able to do my life over, I’d still choose CS or engineering over biology(I chose CS in this life). I have never been able to rote-memorize huge amounts of information. I briefly considered med school but eventually decided against it for this very reason. 4+ years of endless rote memorization would probably eat me alive and drive me insane. I do deeply envy the rock-solid job security and high salaries physicians have though. Lucky bastards.

So you enjoy what you do? I thought about going back to school but same I get bored with endless repetition. I love to keep learning so I’ll read and research endlessly. I guess there really isn’t anything I’d change either.

@@Xaforn I used to really enjoy what I do and still somewhat do but I’m getting pretty tired of it now, close to 40.

@@Xaforn Med school has a lot of varied learning; you learn a ton of stuff about the human body. But you have to memorize the hell out of all of it and take a boatload of exams. Way too much studying and cramming for me.

Yep, it's a lot of work - all just to not really heal people (conventional medicine), which is why I'm doing lifestyle medicine, like Dr. Joel Fuhrman, Dr. Michael Greger, Dr. Neal Barnard, Dr. Brooke Goldner, Dr. Saray Stancic, etc. Look into them for life saving info, they have a lot of vids on here, as well as sites, books.
