Perfect! That's exactly what I wanted to learn, now that our Shelter Logic cover is torn-up; it lasted at least three years, so not bad but time to make it permanent. Thank you for the tutorial, screw hole mishaps and all!

Sweet! I thought I was the only re-purposing bastard out there...thanks for doing the hard part - my super-shelter-eco-logic is destined for my tiny home machine shop...great job! 🤙

Haha thankyou. Heck no I repurpose where ever possible. This super logic is still as strong as it was when built I'm quite happy with it.

You can add some metal studs as supports in the ceiling.

Thanks for doing this video. I have a 10x10 shed and was wondering about cladding it with something strong, as I also get a lot of snow in the winter. So far I’ve been going out after the snow storms and taking the snow off with a long handled floor broom. Like you said, eventually the UV rays will ruin the cover anyway, so I want to get it done as soon as I can. I not getting any younger.🙃

Hi and thankyou friend . So it's 8ft wide by 10 long. It took 7 panels at 3ft wide and 12ft long to have a foot over hang on each end.

Only thing I don't like are the sharp edges pointing out... I wonder if you can cut them flush and put some kind of L flashing over the corners.

Thanks for the video, David. I have a 12 x 25 and the middle has ripped from stem to stern. This is a great solution for repair and a longer lasting shelter for our boat. May I please know where you obtained the corrugated aluminum? I'm in Ontario.

Hi, thanks alot It has served me very well. We have a local Mennonite distributor where I purchased it. It was much cheaper than big box suppliers and they custom cut.

Nice easy renovation for the shelter logic. I too have done same but have a bigger one I'm thinking of cladding with milled boards. Has yours had any significant snow fall on it yet ? Great content and you've earned yourself another sub 😄

Hi there thanks alot for the sub, aswelli subbed to your channel and look forward to watching. I haven't had any heavy snow on it yet but I am installing a pole in the center just incase. My neighbor has 2 big ones and they've held up really well.

@@offgridDAVID thats great to know. We've had snow on ours before but we dont get the figures you guys get. Hoping it will be rigid enough, been watching another guy on youtube and he braced his with 3x2s or 4x2s to add some rigidity. Anyways, great content buddy and appreciate the sub.

HOWdy O-G-L-a-S-P, ... I know you are already DONE drilling your HOLES through the PIPE & into your Sheet Metal WALLS ... but You could have GUARANTEED "perfection" by drilling a small "pilot-hole" from the INSIDE / OUT through the PIPE 1st & then through the Sheet Metal 🙂 ... how do you stop condensation on the ceiling? I did this and in the winter there is so much condensation dripping from the ceiling I cant keep anything dry.
@offgridDAVID
@offgridDAVID Ай бұрын
Hello there. I haven't ran into than problem here but if you install a vent on front and back the airflow will likely help regulate the temperature and reduce condensing.
@The_Brew_Dog
@The_Brew_Dog 20 күн бұрын
I have a large Quonset shop and condensation was an issue. To combat this you will need a radiant barrier on the inside, but you need an air gap of 1/2” or so between the building metal and your radiant barrier. This air pocket will regulate the temp of the metal to be more consistent stopping most of the condensation.
