Ranbir Raj or Raju comes to Mumbai to create a name for himself and make a fortune. After he loses all his possessions, he meets with Vidya (Nargis), a teacher who runs a private school, and both fall in love. Raj soon gets a job in a laundry and meets Maya (Nadira) when he goes to deliver some clothes to her. Maya finds that Raju is good with cards and takes him to a casino where he wins Rs.20000/-, which unfortunately is pocketed by Maya. A rich industrialist, Sonanand Dharmachand, approaches Ranbir, hires him to work for him, and starts exploiting Raju's conscience by showing him money. Raju falls for the greed and soon differences start to create between him and Vidya. Watch to know what happens with Raju and Vidya?

Kisi ne ye notice kiya ki us zamane se aj tak hamara desh kitna tarakki kar chuka hai.... Logon ki lifestyle kitni behtar hua hai.......... Garibi kitni kam hui hai........ aaj kamse kam log bhuk se na mare itna to sarkar ne bandobast kiya hai......... But kuch gaddar aur kamchor logon k bajah se kuch logon k halat abhi bhi bura hai...... Aur kuch log purane gaane aur purane movies dekh kar bolte hain ki kash me us zamane me hota...... Are yaar you are living far better life then them...... Of course us time k gaane aur movie ki watt kuch alag hai...... I also lave those.... But I am very that I am living in 2020

Raj kapoor provided some good message and at same time provided entertainment due to which it was loved by both critics and audiences. Whenever you Google you will see that imdb is always above 7.5 and also many times his movies were highest grossers. We really lost a rare gem and legend celebrity from our cinema
