@@SuperKitowiec monastic are shiz cus you give speed and mobility for armor but they end up getting stuck and die anyways, it just takes longer

When I was running bottom line I had situation where enemies put some random shields on my line on fire. I couldn't kill anything because of them and that was the moment I decided that top line is the way, because no grey shields will stand on my way to good score :P

In my opinion, you should unlock them with honor. In case of doctrine, I think the grenade ammo doctrine is the only one that worth getting and this doctrine requried only 2 stages to be unlocked.

You don't lose a chance to get the doctrine. Just grab them from unit tree and then do the challenges. That's how I did it.

@@SuperKitowiec does pressing v at any time effect this as well? I have a tendency of pressing it sometimes either with habit or accidentally when trying to mount up.

They reworded it to "number of grenades thrown" for some reason but I just checked and it's back to 'increases number of grenades carried"

hey, I just did a quick, rough check and shenjis have ~40% less dps. They have much higher damage, but they shoot much slower.

Hmm, I feel like I need to max tercios and compare them somehow. Overall, why do you think that tercios are better?

@@SuperKitowiec The tercios just seem like a jack of all trades when it comes to range. Not t he best damage, range, or even accuracy, but they are still good at all three. The are also very forgiving for a ranged unit, I can play them sorta the same way I play javs, just further back. The grenadiers can be really good with a coordinate team like you mentioned, but being a primarily solo player I feel they fall flat. The unit size seems to small for them to be as squishy as they are. But the main reason is the throw time on the grenades, they do great at breaking up shield walls, but good luck trying to reaction throw them to disrupt an enemy charge. You have to try and predict a charge in order for the grenades to do anything cause it takes so long for the unit to throw them. I think the grenades overall are good, just needs a reduction to the throw time. This is just my opinion, and I know not every unit is for everyone.

I guess it comes down to grabbing treatsis everytime I can (for example, event shops), spending them on correct excavation (ranged one) and being lucky ;)

But are they squishy? They are tankier than kriegs and I never heard anyone calling kriegs squishy.

Yes. Being able to kill shields makes big difference. My problem with bottom line is that you get ~20% nade damage increase but you are still gated behind 27 sec cool down. It's a lot of doing nothing after every throw.

I would rather call bottom line situational. If having this extra range will allow you to throw over the wall which you otherwise wouldn't be able to, then why not. But it's highly specific, especially in context of tw.

When I tested their rof, they took the same amount of time to empty the magazine with top and bottom (when using rof doctrine). So maybe they fixed the rof node bug, so it goes faster with the topline now?

I dislike the grenade cooldown. Too much waiting for the fun
