Conqueror's Blade - Shenji Grenadiers - THROW Those Grenades!

So we are back with some more Conqueror's blade as we finally get around to taking a look at the Shenji Grenadiers! A really interesting unit ( I seem to say that a lot! XD ) but the mix of high damage, accurate muskets, combined with very large aoe grenade damage and knockdown makes for a pretty devestating combination. What are your throughts on the unit so far?

I didn't notice. Good Overview of the Unit Evo. Sharpshooter Doctrine apply to Grenades as well was unknown to me, glad I had it on them now & may not replace it now xD

I use them as the front-line formation breaker unit, used the bottom line of 10 sec with extra 2 sec with doctrine total 12 sec Grenade cooldown is significant for capturing a point. It is true that I don't get many kills with their grenade, but I play right and contribute enough with them to the team, almost all the time I am in top 5 in those battles.

All I took away from this is that their grenades don't burn enemies. Just joking, nice video, and I love the unit. Really balanced, but uniquely strong with the grenades and accuracy.

I noticed that even if you tap V after throwing the grenade, it still cancels the rate of fire buff. you have to throw and wait which took a while to get used to. Love this unit and it does surprisingly well in expeditions and bandit raids.

Best throw I got with them , killed 50 units and hit like more than a hundred units . The numbers were sooooo satisfying

Recently got back into the game havent been playing very well but i really enjoyed using these and did lots of damage and lots of kills really fun unit

I am new to the game and i believe that I've done some mistakes but this is part of the game and as long you are having fun, nothing wrong with it.

@@OreLPoint yea metas have changed units i used a year ago that were op are now struggling but the game is fun at the moment just have to get back into it

The first few days on Frontier server, grenades had triple the damage they have now (stealth nerfed). You probably saw some of those clips

this Shenji grenadiers, my founding is that, (i not sure. just happen to witness that with my own little experiments) , IF i used V to auto attack, they hit more accurately than i use the 1 Focus Fire. Focus Fire still tend to miss, but if i V to auto attack. is like almost 80% more accurate hit. i dont have any accuracy doctrine on them at all

When your units are elevated above their target cursor for their throw, they seem to be able to throw at an incredible range. I have thrown from the wall near home point on Riverlands castle, and aimed well past the blob on A as I would if I was using outriders to hit them on a max range throw. I lost sight of the grenades and it looked like they reached B point instead.

The grenades seem to have a limited lifespan, so your grenades here probably conked out rather than 'sailing all the way to the B point'. Try it on conq city defend - from the side supply point wall you *should* be able to hit not only the A point, but their spawn as well - however because the grenades spend too long in the air the grenades die before they get a chance to hit the ground and explode...

After the dissapointingly badly designed Outriders and Axe raiders i'm really happy with these guys, they are a lot of fun and generally well balanced. I think i agree with you on basically every point, i even have the exact same doctrine setup. Only 2 things that hold this unit back and that is that they suffer heavily from the weather unlike Tercio's with their veterancy buff i don't think the Shinji's have anything like that. And the fact that if you throw your grenades from height like you would assume would work best their gun buff becomes completely trash, they shoot into thin air because they don't seem to aim downwards all that well.

using range units is harder now while axe raiders around you muskets bombs, bows arrows, axe raiders, low hp..

Can you do a video on the kheshigs again? It doesn’t have to be a full length video, I’d just like to know if their viable now because of their new abilites, I’ve been actually seeing them in sieges

sword reapers and kheshigs are great units in sieges and rank now, dont know about tw though.

i must say im quite surprised by all unit this season.... they all perform very well in their own niche (yeah i know they all will be nerfed probably ;) ) these muskets in TW are also nice lol.... we had 3 units on wall (attacking) clearing entire gate and mid cap... with 6-9 throws...and quite alot players dead as well ;) .... a sight that will be etched in my brain for a long time ...all that damage messages popping up.... the kills made that day.. .forged an empire not soon forgotten.

Ctrl n hover to supply point icon if u are close enough and a spartan helmet will appear to click it. Just like how you use units to push siege tower

Axe raiders are ridiculous. They get an ironside buff when low health. They can get tankier than iron reapers. I wish they introduced these mechanics to units that actually made sense, like the reapers or even sipahis, which have a similar, but far more inferior version. IMO this is just them realizing that ace raiders weren’t performing as intended, and they didn’t want another fenrir/monk repeat of a ultra flimsy unit, so they gave them that trait.

My gunners never worked like this.. it means another OP season unit making game trash. . how did you get them so fast? ah let me gues buy.. so pay to win game at its finest.. . bye and i support game with disslike .) to change this bullshit
