Actually Benedict Cumberbatch acting made "Sherlock Holmes" character a genius. in the other portrayal during the past few decades, holmes seems to be kind of freaky and weird at time, always wearing a suit even at home! and cumberbatch is a lovable actor because i seen his progress in acting, which we don't really have from many actors. For example, we remember Roger Moore as James Bond...that's it.

Personally.... For me it's still Mr. Jeremy Brett's portrayal of Sherlock Holmes.🙂 He even study all the mannerisms and gestures of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock. It was fantastic. From the way he whistles down to Sherlock's laughter. Nevertheless, Mr. Cumberbatch's performance is fine on its own. He gave his own approach to the character that is unique of him.

'Sherlock' to me, was the top most innovative show, covering an old time favorite character, ever !....Brilliant casting and great updated story lines , without losing the spirit of the stories......I used to love the ones portrayed by both Basil Rathbone and Jeremy Brett..but yeah, Benedict is just totally brilliant, infusing so much into the role.....Top show ! BTW, who the heck cares about their sex lives, that's their personal business...People these days somehow feel totally entitled to have opinions and say so's over other peoples lives...what a crock of dung, that is.....

Benedict is my favorite. I only knew him after Sherlock, only thought of him as just another actor, but then I realized his name, started seeing it everywhere, then when I looked up to see what other movies he was in, I realized I've heard his voice quite a lot. Edit: hoping for a season five!!!

First observed Benedict on star trek into darkness then as Dr. Strange.. it's not that he's outstanding looking he is unique looking but in acting is very magnetic. Thinking his acting ability & unique presentation makes it harder to not look at him when he's playing a part.

Truly a brilliant show chock full of fantastic actors and actresses. I laughed and cried so many times! Benedict’s attractiveness is his genuine intellect, humor and outstanding talent. Up until Benedict and Martin paired up as Sherlock and Watson, my all time favorite Sherlock was Jeremy Brett on the long running series based on the books on Masterpiece theater. Those were some great, quality shows and Jeremy was an awesome 1800's Sherlock. There were 41 episodes in all and if you haven't seen them and are a Sherlock fan you have really missed out. They stick very close to the books and cover all the stories written by Conan Doyle.

I think Rupert Graves is a darling. They don't say here but his first marriage was to an older woman who was a single mum whom he met while quite young and they were married a long time. Despite his pretty face I think he's quite a family man.

OMG, my favourite part of that entire video was the last part: "...if you're anticipating the 5th season." I feared they'd ended it! I'm SO happy to hear there'll be more of all of them. My favorite BBC Sherlock actors are Andrew Scott, Lara Pulver and Louise Brealey. I think Rupert Graves and Mark Gatiss would look so cute together and would to see Mystrade ( a cute fan ship) written into the series. The main reason is there is so little representation of older character couples in the media gay or straight. It would be a real breakthrough as far as plot lines go.

Cumberbatch is an actor with HAIR. When HE IS HIRED we get a separate character in his hair: change of hair color, length, style-as important as any lines he delivers. He’s a wonderful actor, he looks fine but he is just an excellent acter

Rupert Graves has been a favourite since I saw him in “The Forsyth Saga.” All the actors are superb. B.C. should have had an Oscar for “The Imitation Game.” IMHO

It’s actually really sad that some people think that Benedict’s wife and children are just “PR stunts”. I mean, that’s harsh, dudes. He can have a life and children. Just let him be.

Benedict is one of the sexiest men alive. I love his green eyes, the shape of his lips, his beautiful fingers, his deep voice, love when he smiles, love his manners. He’s so sweet. God, I’d marry him. 🤤

Benedict is definitely great. Slow time at work gave me an opportunity to binge watch sherlock. Benedict is such a good actor.

They couldn’t have chosen anyone better for each role in Sherlock. Benedict Cumberbatch is such an amazing actor and did such an outstanding job playing Sherlock. Could’ve improved at pretending to play violin, though. But with all that he did... I have no words. He. Is. Amazing. 6:59 Was that Poirot? Cuz if it was it wasn’t pronounced correctly.

I like Sherlock, Molly, Mary, and John. They are really great characters. I also loved Irene Addler. Molly would be a better girlfriend for Sherlock though. Cause she would keep him clean from drugs. Mary and John Watson are also my favorite couple.

I absolutely must admit that since I first heard about BBC's SHERLOCK from a few friends and a couple of teachers who were surprised I hadn't seen SHERLOCK or D.W. Since then, I've been a bit obsessed with the high-functioning sociopath known as William Sherlock Scott Holmes. I've always had a thing for intelligent characters and Sherlock's massive intellect and attitude are something I'll never get over. I'm hoping that they do make a season 5 despite my satisfaction with how season 4 ended. I know that how it ended would be a pretty good way to end the series although with as far as my knowledge of the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle goes, Sherlock eventually retires from crime solving to keep bees in Sussex. I'm wondering if we'll ever see anything leading up to that.

Regarding Benedict it's hard to pinpoint what exactly makes him stand out. I remember first noticing him in Tinker Tailor Soilder Spy, a movie stock full of actors I adore. Then this young and (for me) unfamiliar actor shows up all confident and steals the show. He has a lot of intensity and charisma, and whether you think he is gorgeous or not, I find most people agree that he is amazing. And as someone else mentioned, the way he interacts in interviews helps alot. He comes across as smart and well spoken, and intelligence is very sexy.

Look, Benedict is a brilliant actor, I could watch him all day. Brains IS the new sexy but that doesn't mean he doesn't have the looks, too. Those high cheekbones, the blue eyes, the ruffled hair... And yes, we do love a man with a sense of humor. I am so glad he has a happy marriage and he's not divorced as it is so usual. Ps. Are people really surprised that Mycroft is gay? I've known since John and Mary's wedding when I saw him work out. Tbh I thought the character was gay, not the actor but still not surprised.

So it wasn't just me. I saw that and thought, "I didn't know he was gay?" Watched the whole *bleeping* thing, saw he was married and had a child, then realized that didn't feel right. So, I guess I really DID think he was gay, I was simply surprised he was Out. Which he's not. So. Now I remember why I don't watch those *bleeping* things.

I adore Benedict Cumberbatch. He's a total cutie and a very sweet man. I'm so happy for him that he's found the love of his life. He wanted to be a dad so keenly. I know he'll make a brilliant husband and father!

I think he has an unconventionally good looking and interesting face that is enhanced by his talents as an actor. He's accomplished and that weighs a lot more with me than how he looks. It also has to do with what character he's playing, it's a combo.

Benedict Cumberbatch is by far the most fascinating actor, but with an ensemble cast of soooooo many great characters/actors its a toss up in the end ....Sherlock wouldn't be the Sherlock that we know unless actors like Martin Freeman & oh geewiz his name is on the tip of my tongue..... Mye Croft character ( i know, spelling is Wrong 😬) I wish that they'd have a season 6 !!!!!
