Finally devil survivor's law ending is the only law ending where humanity isn't completely fucked over. Sure chaos routes have been dismal but law always was bad.

I completely disagree, these new neutral endings piss on everything the original SJ had in mind and SMT in general, not to mention that it'll lead inevitably to the same situation the Earth was before. This "new" content team Maniax gave to SJ it's on the same line as the other revisions they gave to more modern SMT, and with it and their lack of coherence and aesthetic over substance they're fucking with the only thing SMT had going.

He wants survival of the fittest by begging someone stronger to do it for him, only being alive because one of those weakling demons protected him and he ended up fused into his demonic form because he in turn took mercy upon it. By his own logic he should've accepted his death because he was only in that situation with Bugaboo because they where both so damn weak, Not that this isn't unique, nearly every chaos route has this issue.

She doesn't die for the new endings so much as she just stops existing. Technically even that much may not be true if we go by multiverse theory which would basically say that what she did was splinter the possibilities and making two different yet parallel 'futures'. One which follows the Old Chaos ending which is basically everybody dies except her and another which is the 'new' world or 'New Chaos' ending where coexistence goes hand in hand with demon and man aslong as their minds are open. Same goes for Old/New Law and Old/New Neutral. Plus is Lucifer feels like it they can get knocked up in the new world and make another 'Alex' in a way.

FYI you kill her if you choose to not change your stance and keep going so shes fuked regardless. At least in the new Law Neutral and Chaos Endings the current timeline version of her will be able to find their happiness.

This ending is really good. The demons are just living as protective gods, guiding humans whenever they screw up so another schrazwelt doesn’t appear. Humans can be free as long as they don’t mess up. Essentially humans will create their own civilization with the demons there to guide them along the way. Great ending.

Centurionzo 12 Not like original Chaos Jim gave a damn seeing how easily he tossed away his humanity when he fused with Bug, he forgot that his heart and caring along with others (Gore's death in rescuing him) is why he survived, hell without his compassion in taking in and caring for Bug he would habe died many times in the story if not for him, hell Jack might have just had him executed rather then try going mad scientist on him that led to his power upgrade. Striving for strength, all he did was toss away what really made him strong, hell it's agreed the fight with him in his humanoid form in Neutral over his demon form in Law was more difficult, by shedding his humanity, he shed his ability to grow to become a demon, who are normally stuck at the growth rate they are BORN/CREATED in sans human worship and devouring others, in essence Demons (that means all of them including angels and gods/goddess) are FAR more parasitic then Humans will ever be, note hiw strong many demons are when you are using them then the ones you actually fight, that's Symbosis right there compares to being on your own where being a parasite might make you powerful, but your bound by the rules of "Strong Survive, Weak perish" where a strong dude is considered weak if a bunch of weak dudes gang up on him and win, the whinning and attempting rule (that go against their logic making them hypocrite's gatekeeping msking them no different then the weaklings they look down on) about it only because the other strong fear this being replicate on "them". I like New route Chaos Jim better because he acknowledged the parasitic nature and changed it to a more Symbosis one, GIVING humanity a decent shot rather then "throwing a Strong dude into a room of Superman's" and expecting him to irk out a win by "playing fair". My view of fair is throwing a fat guy into a fight with another fat guy completely naked with only similarly made and tempered knives, if the other guy has something the other guy doesn't like better knowledge on how to use a knife or despite being fat he's more fit oh well neither have anything to orotect their bodies and both have the same weapon and no means to bring in others so its "equal and fair", same applies if its a woman and a man in this context.

New Law and Chaos endings give Zelenin and Jimenez more authority in how they follow their part which is an improvement. Neutral ending turn out to be the worst for mankind

I really like your emphasis on Symbiosis, the way I see it, this is a world where humans compete to prove they're worthy of associating with the best demons, and viceversa, where the minor hindrance will face replacement but not death, for demons will not deny the "possibility" that allows humans to become stronger if they are given a chance to try again later, nor will humans deny the value of a demon's life just because of its natural limits. It's a bit akin to Atsuro's ending in Devil survivor, demons becoming a natural extension of who we are, all the goods (and bads) of a purely human world multiplied by the demon factor.

buntado6 indeed, my only issue is civilization and the benefits that improve survival (No need to be a boar and charge on forward without a second thought) and the fact its a world where emotion rules over reason (found it funny how Zel wanted a world of reason being female....and her reasoning for this was born of emotion, while Jim's was a world of emotion, that was borb of reasoning in a way despite the fact he should be emotional, which only happens in all routes BUT New Chaos where he does see reason and while begrudging, Mem Aleph acted EXACTLY what I expected her to act....that commebt she made where she belived it was a good idea to "Kill and reincarnate Jim into a full demon so he'd no longer queation her" made her no different then the three wise men she opposed who also saw brainwashing "for the greater good" as a good thing when manipulation failed. Not quite. Dagda basically wants to strip gods of their sentient forms and become basically forces of nature. He literally just wants to die and take the demonkind with him while he's at it. It's basically a euthanasia plan. And putting a groomed 15 year old kid on the throne of god is definetly not a good idea. Nanashi is a psychopath by the end of the anarchy route and shouldn't be trusted with power at all. Dagdas plan is honestly just the divine powers plan but even worse.

Her opposing Law makes perfect sense, since she was the target of genocide as a result of being immune to the song, but her opposing Neutral is what’s illogical. With the Chaos and Law routes, your actions directly caused a world where she suffered, but in the Neutral route, all you did was destroy the Schwarzwelt, which prevented the world from being destroyed in the first place, which means she’s trying to save the world by...killing the only person trying to save the world?

@@Dragon-md4gr Alex’s reasoning for the neutral route is while, yes, the protagonist ‘saved’ the world by destroying the Schwarzwelt, the world stagnated, reaching a point where they absolutely stood no chance when it came around AGAIN(since the Schwarzwelt is a naturally repeating phenomenon), so the end result ends up being us just pausing the timer; she likely plans on still stopping the Schwarzwelt herself, then giving the world the knowledge of ‘hey, this is gonna happen again, so don’t slack off!’ To ensure that future doesn’t happen.

@@christopherbravo1813 it’s more then that: in the Law route, there’s only two groups of humans, those literally ENSLAVED by the song, and those the Angels want to purge from the world since they can’t be enslaved. It is CONFIRMED the angels hunt down and massacre anyone who can resist its ability without question, so it’s more of ‘Well shit, world is either be enslaved or die like a dog! Better try and fix this!’, so since she can time travel, she tries to prevent things from becoming that bad; would you rather live enslaved or die a free man?

@@QuickSilverKitsune That still doesn't check out though; if we were really the one responsible for the world stagnating by destroying the Schwarzwelt, then killing us will have averted the future she came from by, which would just cause her to vanish like in the beginning of the New Law/Chaos/Neutral routes as she'd prevented her timeline from occurring; this obviously isn't a viable plan, since she wouldn't actually be around to actually correct our mistake and save the world. The rational thing to do here is not to kill us, but to approach us with what she knows from the get-go and let us know we have to be proactive in making sure humanity is protected from the Schwarzwelt in the future. Killing us is only going to result in the world's destruction even quicker.

Basically, it is not a world of power, at least not on the human side. The demons here are the Guardian of the earth, so they kinda do what they want, and they are more godlike than being shitty.

Humans are worshipping demons again,and in exchange are getting help from them in everyday life.It's a really weird happy ending with no drawbacks,something that chaos never had before.

Lucas K Yeah my man knows. Seriously, Devil Survivor has the best Chaos and possibly the Law endings ever. And Neutral had 3 routes (in Overclocked at least). In Law, Abel becomes the King of Bel and Messiah, meaning the demons follows the order of YHVH ensuring that demons will not interfere in the matters of humans. In Chaos, Abel becomes the King of Bel in order to lift the lock down, it also shows the angels true colours, and makes a Human the King of Bel. This means the demons are under the rule of a human, no demons will fight over what to do with humanity, and the angels would be the only ones to take humanity’s freedom should they feel like it. And Abel would not give humanity’s free will without a fight. As proven in the Good 8th day in Naoya’s route.

He's a great character make no mistake.Its just that he's probably the worst chaos hero in smt to date.Though tbf,its mostly the fact that atlus dropped the ball after he transformed.

Smt chaos hero clearly had a troubled life that was full of bullying.Eventually he gained a method to pursue the power he needed.However unlike jiminez,he's not a hypocrite.We see him lead people away from the gaen area to prevent their deaths.We even see him talk with his former friends and keep from attacking them until the very end. Now compare that with fucboi jimmy.As soon as he became part demon its "power lol" with zero redeeming qualities.Hell he never even joined chaos on his own free will.It was the demon power corrupting him that forced him down that path.In comparison,the smt 1 chaos hero willingly understood his fate and thought his decisions through with slight hints of remorse for others.He understood the consequences and never regretted his decisions.
