I think it will, I hope SMT 6 would have the same amount of demon as in SMTIV Apocalypse, that game was my favorite because it has a lot of demons. And they need to upgrade the map too, this game's map always confuses me.

How about, appreciate THIS GAME. Y’all sound ungrateful and that’s wild af. The game just came out and y’all talking like this game wack or just wasn’t crafted well enough. Not saying y’all can’t hope for something new but the game JUST came out not even like a month of release. The way y’all speaking about it is like this game wasn’t enough. Chill and just enjoy the game for what it is rn. Demons have so many unique animations from idle animations to attack animations, to some demons having unique skills. Saying you hope this game is the foundation for another game when the game is fresh and new is pretty trash.

@Choua Lor The Protag's are the Messiahs, so theirs no need for Jesus, plus I doubt Atlus wants to directly put Jesus in in order to avoid some flak, as theirs such thing as going too far. They let it slide with the Persona one cause it doesn't directly look like Jesus at all, just a robotic looking, white Makoto. Their Agony in Soul Hackers as well, but Atlus has so far avoided bringing him back.

@Choua Lor No ones bitched about it yet, and Maria has been a demon in the series since SMT NINE in 2002, so yeah she's okay. Theirs also Black Maria as well who's been around longer than regular Maria.

That design is made by the Etrian Odyssey Artist so it was never gonna appear in a SMT game in the first place.

JRPGs are playable encyclopedias, one can start with Final Fantasy, then go through Shin Megami Tensei to expand, then end up on wikipedia and dedicated websites and reading specific books. I wonder if a crossover between the Final Fantasy Eidolons and SMT Demons would happen in the future, like FF Female Shiva meeting Canonically Male SMT Shiva.

FF isnt good for a playable encylopedia tho, they change too much the nature of a lot of stuff and even screw up the google search of stuff like bahamut with their design. Pokemon and castlevania (especially Igarashi's game, also bloodstained) do a job kinda similar to SMT

Yeah it's gonna be easy to 100% the compedium, thankfully theirs no Fusion Accident only demons (Hero and Zealot race) getting in the way this time. It's a bit sad that some of these races are missing very popular reaccurring demons such as Wu Kong, Nozochi, Gurr, Hresvelgr, Samael, Karasu Tengu, Virtue, Raiju, Unicorn, Titan, Gogmaggog, Tam Lin, Kresnik, Kudlak, Kartikeya, and Masakado, I don't know if the ran out of time or whatever but it's weird not seeing those certain demons in a game. Also I have no idea why they can't use the models in the mobile game Dx2, at the very least as a skeletal base, that's the ony game that has demons like Mastema, Echidna, Demiurge, Yama, Horkos, Baldur, Angra Mainu, Demone-ho, Master Therion, and many more in 3D, maybe cause the game is technically made by Sega, or the models just aren't compatable for a console game? We'll problemly never know.

Yeah, I'm also a bit disappointed that Cherub, Seraph, original Angel (they could have gone the Apoc route), Xiwang Mu, Izanami, and many others (e.g. missing members of the Divine Powers from Apoc) are not included. Hoping to be DLC or maybe they'll go for an expansion and add the demons in at a later time.

I could've sworn that some of the demons had different names in previous games...Xuan Wu being Genbu and Qing Long being Seiryuu for instance. Why did Atlus change their names?

The names were changed to reflect their original Chinese origins, probably for the sake of international releases, since their original names are technically more correct to use. Xuan Wu, Zhu Que, Baihu, and Qing Long are their original names while Genbu, Suzaku, Byakko and Seiryuu are Japanese names for the same deities. Same thing with Huang Long (Kohryuu) and Nuwa (Joka.)

People actually found Maitreya's data (alongside Krishna, Dagda, Satan and 2 unnamed demons) in the game's files. However they all got scrapped at some point it seems.

So many Western Euro and Asian religions/mythologies, not nearly enough Indigenous American, Mesoamerican, African, Oceanian, and Slavic mythologies 🤔 Also as a Mexican, having some Day of the Dead style Mayan mythical creatures would look sooooo badass if done right. Basically how it works is that its determined which route you chose before entering the final Dungeon which one will spawn. So in order to get all of them you gotta do the game 3 times

She transforms into a different form depending on the ending. Law ending gives maria, chaos gives Inanna (or whatever her name is), and neutral/secret ending gives danu.

Demons is just a broad word Japan uses to classify mythological beings. Most of these guys aren’t really “demon”s as in fallen angels. Older games actualyl had more angels including some blibkically accurate crazy ones

Sophia gives you an item needed to fight Maria/Danu/Innana depending on your ending route in the final area when you reach 75%. At 100% you only get special dialogue

@@dantemustdie00 and introduced a race (Wargod) which easily was coverable by a lots of other races (Kishin, Fury, Genma, Yoma, Deity)

no idea why they still have a race where the only common denominator is the demons being female and somewhat neutral / evil, instead of splitting them to the somthing like: Night Leannan Sidhe Yoma Mermaid Drake Mananangal Brute Yaksini Drake Lamia Brute Dakini Reaper Clotho Reaper Lachesis Reaper Atropos Lady Cleopatra Haunt Rangda Fury Kali Recovering the "Reaper" race which always has lots of misplaced demons

Im actually surprised I found a comment where someone misses that angel design. It would have been cool to see a redesign based off of that or have a more feminine angel similar to how Helel looks.
