The 2nd box art legendary shiny obtained! I found Groudon last year in my Ruby DTQ file. I thought this would be a very fitting way to officially end my Water Monotype challenge through Sapphire.
Love this shiny. I decided to Masterball it as I have so many of them in Gen 3 at this point. It's the only ball in Gen 3 that matches it imo. I could have gone for Premier but I think it's a little too focused on the pink for it match despite the red and white colours too.
A really cosy hunt to be honest. I enjoyed this hunt a lot. It was nice to find something that was 100% again as I'm phasing like mad in Gen 2 for Vulpix.

I did this hunt 2 years ago, I was actually doing kyogre and groudon at the same time and it took a full week of non stop soft resetting just to get it to shine, I actually almost gave up on the hunt because I didn’t think I would get it but I did, and not even a day later I got groudon to shine which I almost soft reseted on because I was distracted watching KZfaq 😂

Nice. It wasn’t Groudon or Kyogre for me, but my Shiny Terrakion in Black 2 took about a full week of soft resetting as well. It ended up shining on my birthday though, so that was pretty cool.

Because of the limited time I have sometimes my shiny Pansage took a few months and almost 11, 000 resets

@@Sparky129 something I regret not getting into as a youngin when I didn’t have that much work responsibility is shiny hunting lol cuz now that I really want it I have no time due to work Around 500 resets on about 4 or 5 hours before having to hit the hay

@@joel198d Yeah, I know what you mean, but for me, if there's nothing else going on, even work nights I do shiny hunting. Managed to get loads last year and am so happy with them. If you manage to find the time, it will be rewarding in the end 👍

It’s nice to see shiny kyogre only appear to prevent discussion about the embarrassment known as r/antiwork. Also I have never seen huntail’s back sprite: it’s like seeing a new Pokémon or a beta sprite for a cut Pokémon.

Are you going to do a mono ground team in Ruby? Mudkip becomes dual ground and you could cap it the same way, with shiny Groudon. Or you could do an all flying team and cap with Rayquaza.

Pretty cool 😎 and I see you transferred it to Pokémon XD. I remember playing Pokémon XD, I caught all the shadow Pokémon and purified them all. I haven’t played it in a while, I think I’ll play it again so I can battle the ring again and battle the leader again for one of the Jotho starters. I have to battle without switching out my Pokémon in order to get one of the starters FYI.

Ah this hunt brings back memories ^^ Not Kyogre, but I did try and catch Groudon in my one and only Luxury Ball, took several days, no shiny, but I do like most legendary or god like pokemon to be in a Luxury Ball if the oppurtunity arrives :3 Most trio pokemon get the Premier Ball

I found this twice back then the first time I found pretty quickly /Accidently ran from it though :( That color absolutly drives me nuts though I found it the second time Near christmas and we had these decorations that were the same color; But by Azura That Killer Pink Stands alone both in desighn and In Pro-Purpose...

Hey I've got a question. So I want to soft reset for a shiny Beldum in my Sapphire version however when I boot up the game it says the battery is dead. I've read several sources saying that if the battery is dead, soft resetting for shinies is basically impossible. So is there anything I could do for my Sapphire version or am I just forced to use the Battle Frontier method in Emerald version?

@@RabbitTea1 bright and different colored pokemon called shinies. They're absolutely legal to get, almost any pokemon can be shiny. The case is that they're extremely rare. In this game 1/8192 random pokemon can be shiny. The only difference between shinies and regular pokemon is their colour
