Why couldn't they have brought the original voice actor back? Im sure by the time the new game came around, he'd be around the same age as the need guy. At least, just going by the voices, that's what I think.

He might actually have spared Helios. Kratos only sought Zeus, literally. Had everyone else stayed out of the way, everyone else would have been spared.

@@justice4all190 It's absolutely weird why GoW:GOS was released a few months later after GoW 3 yet GOS looks like the best PS2 game graphics instead of the new PS3, GoW 3 engine they used. I know, they said it was harder to utilize in a GoW 3 development video that time, but it could have been worth it.

In fairness, he did try to trick Kratos into getting himself killed. But yes, Helios had been gruesomely injured and no longer posed a threat at this point. Kratos could walk away and leave him there. Moreover, he chose to rip Helios’s head off, making sure of the immense pain and suffering.

He did say his death wouldn't lead Kratos to Zeus. Kratos tells him that's where he's wrong. He had a plan. He needed Helios to light his way. Without the light, the doors ahead wouldn't be revealed.
