I can’t believe Shiv just keeps freely helping Mattson when he made it pretty obvious that he isn’t going to give her the “top spot” she wants if the acquisition goes through. He’s given her nothing in return while she’s been giving him everything - betraying her brothers and risking herself all for nothing smh. I really thought after the last episode during the tail gate party that she would pull away from mattson and strategize a better plan

Weirdly I kind of think it’s good to end here. The fallout of Logan’s death can only hold so much weight over the ambitions and motivations of the kids. I think it’s very nearly run its course and unraveling in a catastrophic way. To me, it’s the only way the show can end. Complete and utter disaster.

No, 4 Seasons is fine. Usually if the show is going over 5 seasons, it's always bad with bad writings, bad pacing, repeated storylines. Look what happened to Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead and Supernatural.

Kendall's master plan. He's even more cunning than his dad I feel like. He learned a lot and does not talk nonsense like his dad. He's always watching, observing, and making the move now. Truly a Michael Corleone type of renaissance. Shiv is digging her grave because, as Tom said, she's incapable of actually seeing herself for what she is and her dad's death affected her more than she wants to admit it. She's completely lost it and made bad call after bad call. She's clearly not in a fit state to do anything at this point besides embarrassing herself further.

Nah, Kendall acts like he has everything under control but he is actually crumbling. He spent most of the time of election day catatonic and being pushed over by his siblings agenda. Kendall has tools to be the king, but he also has too many insecurities and is too much guided by revenge. He makes bad decisions because of that

Shiv is done, she was only useful for Matsson as long as she was inside on the Waystar side. I do think she will stoop super low when she sees theres no way back for her outside of burning her sibs. I think the next episode is Roman finally losing it at the funeral and episode 10 it looks like Kendall is going to have a clear path to the CEO seat, but Shiv leaks the dead waiter info in a last ditch effort to find a way back. Shiv burned him in the past as well, she was the only one that signed the press release condemning everything about Kendall. All of them are awful, but shes the least loyal family member.Even when Kendall turned against Logan, he made it clear to the sibs he wanted them to come along with him. Shiv is for sure the Fredo of this story haha

Yeah it’s a stretch but backed into a corner Shiv is as vindictive as Logan. She feels no sense of loyalty to her siblings at all. It’s pretty surface level with Connor, Kendall and Roman but it’s still there. Even when Kendall was telling Roman about his daughters situation, Roman still asked if she was okay. Again surface level not uncle of the year, but you don’t see that from Shiv at all. Could definitely see her bringing the whole thing down out of spite, it’s been her MO the entire show.

Also people think Greg became this after 4 seasons but he always knew how "the game" goes, even probably way more than Shiv ever did, his first talk with Logan was literally him talking his way into a job, he just started thinking small but know that hes seen power hes absolutely gonna end up high up and probably fucking over either Tom or Roman now, Kendall made the best choice of his life by taking care of Greg, hes gonna fall him upwards to the top

Greg has always been part of Kendall's master plan for everything. He saw that he was both a snake and willing to go the extra length to get somewhere. The interesting part here is that with Logan gone, Greg only sees Kendall as the winner since Greg always went with the person that had the highest chances of winning and keeping him safe.

As Kendall said to Greg at the end of Season 1 "I see you Greg" when he mentioned having those cruises documents. Always kept Greg pretty close and treated him well for Roy family standards lol. Probably the best investment he ever made and its really paying dividends now.

He's not. He has absolutely nothing to offer. They're going to chew him up and spit him out just like Tom. And even Tom has education and social skills. Greg is just a scammer. Kendall almost lost everything twice because of Greg's betrayal. He knew Greg would sell out Shiv because he sells everyone out. His reputation is as a shit bag who can't be trusted. Kendall isn't dumb enough to ever put Greg in a position of trust again let alone actual power.

she doesn't have any evidence though, maybe she can get it if she talks to colin or marcia ( and yet most of the evidence has been destroyed and even if there's evidence, I can't see how they'd use it because it would also implicate their part in the cover-up) and I can't see how they'd do this in 2 eps. besides, jeremy strong gave an interview where he implied that kendall won't suffer legal consequences for that

Not sure what interview you’re talking about but I think it could still come into play without legal consequences being part of it; could be her way of forcing Kendall to do something. I think a genuine threat of her going public would be persuasive enough. + they’ve said the finale is 90 minutes, a lot can happen in the 2.5 hours to go… can’t wait to see how it all unfolds (/collapses lol)

@@tgarz23 I thought it over and I think one possible way of bringing that back is if she tries to speak to Kendall directly and use it as leverage against him focusing on his conscience and guilt. But then I think maybe Kendall is too far gone and that would give us another Ken/Logan comparisson with the way Logan treated the waiter as " no real person involved" and now maybe Kendall does too.. outside of that I fear the legal implications in succession's world are always made to favor guys like Kendall and Shiv would end up being more hurt than him by the press but idk anything can happen, let's see!

Lmao. There is literally no proof left, Logan buried it all on the boy. He was also not liable. Roman is going to go down, because of Gerri and Kendall’s unintentional collusion. There is no grand denouement left. Kendall is going to win it all at this point. He is Edmund at this point, or Albany from King Lear. Edgar is literally Jimenez or Kendall himself at this point. Shiv is Cordelia, allying with the Outsider: Mattson/France. Karl is likely Kent, Frank is likely Gloucester. The central theme of the show is how our relationship with our parents fundamentally defines who we are/become. Kendall has wanted to be Edgar all his life. It seems to me, that his father always wanted him to be Edmund, aka the Machiavellian New Man.

@JohnJungKook The problem with this analysis is that it considers all the siblings equal. Ken was always in a different league compared to Roman and Shiv. Ken only lacks conviction, the willingness to die by his choices. He had the experience, the knowledge, and the influence to take over. He just couldn't kill the great white beast.

@@robrick9361 You're right. I suspect that the show will end with President Mencken nationalising the TV network and taking control of it himself, for vague, national security reasons. It's the sort of thing dictators do, and would be a lovely twist on Succession's dramatic arc.
