I've never been able to wire money over a computer. If I go online and request a wire, a transfer agent with the bank calls me on a recorded line and runs thriugh a series of security questions. And after the wire goes through, I get a confirming email.

His claim may be because Ippei translates for him, he knows all of the verification questions passwords since he has to give the answers in English. But who knows for sure.

I use Wells Fargo and they don't call me to verify the transaction. They have given me a security device with a code that I enter on their website when I'm going to do a transfer wire.

Manfred and Ohtanis Crisis Team has successfully gotten OHTANI off the hook. The interpreter was the scapegoat all along. The interpreter will be taken care of after the smoke clears. WELL DONE MANFRED and CRISIS TEAM. No more explanation is needed by Ohtani.

If the interpreter is a complete sham that made bets with an illegal bookie and lies. My mother always used to tell me that "birds of the same feather flock together" and you are the company you keep. Therefore, I believe there is much more to the story than what we will learn today. Ohtani reading a statement does not eliminate this suspicion, but will only add fuel to the fire.

I’m not buying it. To make a statement and not take questions , to me is to prevent being trapped into making contradictory statements. Ohtani is just as much to blame if he had allowed that guy access to his bank account (s). I just don’t see how anyone would give that much trust in a person to have access to their account (s) that holds a significant amount of money. Then there’s the lack of vetting to fact check this guy prior to allowing him to be his interpreter. Allowing a dishonest person and one with a gambling addiction to have access to young , multi millionaire athletes to prey upon is in itself a failure on those baseball organizations and Ohtani’s handlers.

@@Eaglesfan220 Saw online the reason Trevor Bauer was'nt charged and went to trail was because they settled with Lindsey Hill with a civil lawsuite and a payment of $300K to drop the charges and not go to trail (If Bauer is innocent why did they pay her off to settle instead of going to trail and proving your innocent).

Dan wants the worst for Ohtani 😅 Ippei lied on his resume about attending University of Riverside (UCR said he never attended or apply) and he lied about working for the RedSox (RedSox confirmed he had never worked there). He's a gambling addict no different than a drug addict. They'll lie, cheat, and steal 24/7 to get their "High" no matter what. Hopefully, Ippei goes to prison and gets help for his addiction and come out a better man
