I finally decided to change out some old big box store cabinets I have had for a while. I cut the parts out of plywood, and edge band the necessary edges. Then I make the pocket-holes and assemble the cabinets.

I love Frank Miller Lumber. I live in Celina, OH and they are by far my best option for hardwood. I have spent hundreds in exotics and domestic from there and the quality is always top shelf.

Looking great as usual Guy. That Armor Tools pocket hole jig looks like it’s easy to use. Since I have a lot of shop cabinets to build this year I just ordered one. It will come sometime in mid-January just in time for my first cabinet build.

I love watching your videos and everything you do you are a great woodworker I just have one question why didn't you put dedos in where the Shelf go on the top and bottom I can understand the adjustable shelves I'm building a set of cabinets and the top and bottom shelves dado them in glue them and then threw a few screws and on the end
@GuysShop
@GuysShop 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! You could use dados, and it would make them easier to get everything in place. I tried the Woodpeckers corner clamps to get everything in line, and they worked really well for my needs.

Awesome work Guy, I’m looking forward to this series. Where do you typically get your edgebanding? It looked to be nice quality and I’ve struggled to get as nice of a finish. I also use the same FastCap products, so I can take that out of the equation.

Hey Guy! Great start. Two questions....who makes the attachments you were using on the track saw track? Would they work with other track saws?
@michaeltodd3042
@michaeltodd3042 5 жыл бұрын
I think those come from Incra. Guy did a video on his version of the MFT where he explains his setup for repeatable cuts using the track saw. I think those would work for most track saws with the exception of the DeWalt due to the fact that you can cut on both sides of the track. They should work seamlessly for the Makita as most Festool accessories are compatible.

Hey Brian! The parallel guides are from Seneca Woodworking, and incorporate Incra track. For crosscutting, the 90 deg. fixture is from TSO Products. I think they will work with the Makita and Triton tracks. Not sure, you would have to take a look at their websites.

Been enjoying your videos for a while. Like your attention to accuracy & precision in your builds. Question, the drill bit you used ~ 7:26. Can you provide a link to where I could buy one? Would also love to hear your opinions on your Seneca guide rails that you use to help position your track saw cuts. Maybe a video in the future could cover it. Thanks and have a great holiday break.

I really have been enjoying watching your videos. How do you think the armor tool jig compares to the porter cable? I am new to woodworking and want to buy a pocket hole jig and have narrowed it down to those 2. The armor jig seems to lift the material up some when it’s being clamped in all the videos I’ve seen. I called the company a few times but no one there knows anything about the stuff they sale and they said they would have someone call me back 3 times now and I’ve still not received a call. Your opinion is appreciated. Really like the videos you put out on the incra stuff. Very nice products

Thanks Mike! I have used the PC jig once, and thought it was very clunky to use. This is a well made and designed jig. It worked well for me on this project.

Looks like it's going to be a fun build. I'd like to personally thank you for putting your neck on the line. How? You might ask.🤔 You're doing a woodworking project, filming it for KZfaq, all the while flying in the face of convention, going against the holiest of holys in all of woodworkingdom,..................... and using pocket holes. It takes a brave individual sir, to stand up to the KZfaq woodworking oligarchs🕵️‍♂️🕵️‍♀️🕵️‍♂️, and their legions of critics.💂‍♂️💂‍♂️💂‍♂️ There are, ........ I am told, .......... amongst this legion of critics, a small but persistent group. Recognizable by their narrow gaze, and Neanderthalic brow. Legend has it they live along river banks in the shadows of bridges. Only to come up out of the shadows to ridicule and belittle others, for not using jointery that they deem appropriate. And therefore acting as a self appointed judge, jury, and executioner, to claim that people who use pocket hole jointery are not true woodworkers, maybe even something less human. Thank you for taking one for the team. Pocket Holers around the world, can drill and fasten with pride. Knowing there are champions who will challenge the oligarchy of woodworking jointery to bring peace and pocket hole acceptance to the kingdom. *TROLLS NEED NOT APPLY * P.S., ...... Looking forward to part 2. 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
