Been doing the handle against lead forearm technique and the ball stops where I want it or close. I’ve even holed out for eagle. Never did that, it was beautiful 2 bounces a little roll out got the edge of the hole spun around the hole and went down. 20 yards uphill with a pw. I’m starting to know just with this one technique when I need what wedge. Also working on the distances of a flop shot. Actually weirdly sick with a flop shot. I started knowing how to get it out there more because I’d hit like a 25-30 foot high shot that went about 5 yards and that’s all I could ever get. Now I can dial that in anywhere from 2-3 yards to about 15. But the technique with the forearm I have a hole that has a bunker that comes up to my chest. 275 to hole I tee off with a 6 iron hit a runner to get as close as I can to the bunker. Usually about 40/50 yards out. I’d always hit the half swing shot and would get the bunker so I just said screw it and hit driver. Now I’m back to the 6 hitting off tee, hit usually a 51 degree just over the bunker and it’s there on the green. Tough hole bunker to the back front and left and a big tree to the right anything on the green in 2 is great. But I’m getting on there consistently now with that technique start trying a couple different things on that hole when I’m practicing though

would this style of chipping be any different depending on the type of grass? i live in FL and most of the courses their are particularly grainy

The right hand. If I video I try and keep the right hand bent back through but are you saying that It will straighten through the shot even if I try to keep bent back. Or that's what we absolutely don't want and will probably find a few times initially that will happen and I don't want that?

Okay I understood it 2nd time of watching. Wording was slightly miss leading. You DO NOT WANT the right hand to straighten at all and we think we do that but if filming we probably find we still flick even if we believe we are doing what you are asking us to do which is bent back. Right I'm going to film it...

Is there any disadvantage to doing all chips with the toe down?

i find that super useful for those really short sided greenside chips. havent tried it for longer chips with a need for a roll out maybe thats where its limited? not sure myself :/
