SHORT SHIFTER INSTALL on my Skoda Fabia vRS!

3 жыл бұрынIt's worth mentioning that this IS NOT a how-to, I thought it would be fun to document this job. It didn't help when my phone ran out of battery halfway, this means the video isn't as detailed as I would like.
In this video I install a 4H Tech short shifter on my car, the link below is to their website. It's also worth mentioning there other websites where it can be found cheaper, I found mine on Facebook Marketplace and managed to purchase it at a very good price compared to new.

Hi mate, love your fabia.. very clean. Was just wondering.. would you recommend one of these as a next car? Wanting to upgrade from my r50 mini cooper and heard these have a lot of potential modification wise etc? Cheers

I'd definitely recommend one, they're a great car if they've been looked after and also have great tuning potential. Make sure to do your research before picking one up as there are quite a few things to look out for when buying 😄

This was off Facebook Marketplace and was £120, they're a bit more expensive brand new.

I had all my mods declared and was paying in the region of £700-£750 a year.

What performance mods have you done to the car?

1752 turbo, bigger intercooler, straight through exhaust, PD160 air intake with a Pipercross panel filter, custom remap, AP coilovers, whiteline rear anti roll bar, Michelin PS4 tyres and this short shifter. I think that's covered most things.

@@BenSchofield Nice! Is it still on standard head bolts? I've a Forge FMIC, 2.5" turbo back exhaust, PD160 cold air feed, Pipercross filter, Helix SMF and clutch but i'm only on the stock KKK turbo with a mild map. I want to go for a Skilla GT1752 and a new map with PD150 headbolts, but i don't want it to smoke really so probably only get 200bhp or so.

@@hardcoretam Yes! Still on the standard head 😀 I can't see much benefit from a better flowing head on a 1752, maybe if I was to build a "race" engine I'd think about uprating.

@@BenSchofield not the head itself sorry i meant the cylinder head bolts holding the head down.
