I hated "screaming vocals" music until I discovered Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, who intrigued me. Then I discovered Meshuggah, who ripped out my blood and replaced it with something....I get your metaphor dude!

It’s not screaming or yelling. It’s definitely a majority false chord engagement and slight utilizations of other techniques when needed. But overall he’s not pushing too terribly hard. It’s more of a snarl or growl at this point. I think the best example of Jens’ actually “screaming” with a ton of force/volume/projection or whatever you wanna call it would be: right when they sonically break your fucking nose by punching you square in the face with that wall of chaotic sound that erupts in the form of the last like 90 seconds of “Bleed” where the whole band goes hard af after the suuuper slow hypnotic section. Aka-the outro lol. All that to say, theres quite a difference between THAT level of intensity and what is being done here.(a stylistic choice I’m sure)

Only seen these guys once at bogarts like way back in the day in Clifton Ohio.. to this day just... These guys are just so far past anything out there today yesterday or tomorrow... Truly one of a kind and should be the biggest selling band in the world as far as I'm concerned
