Who would have thought that we would have so little wind in the UK.

It seems insane but in UK there are laws about height and I do not have room to get away from trees and buildings so I am stuck. It looks like a windmill will not work for me.

It seems understandable in high density populated areas. We can without any permission build 8meters flagpole, and 15m with agreeing of neighbour, dont know about turbines. What about just to attach it to lets say roof of your house, just for experiment if it gets better?@@DaftOldMan

@@rm6857 Max height in UK is about 4.5m so you cannot mount a windmill on a roof as it would be too high. 🙄😬

@@DaftOldMan Its quite low i can see in UK. I meant just to test it, not permanently.For low speeds i think the better is less blades, but huge ones, and gearbox, anyways you might get a few tens of watts maximum.

Btw this kind of wind turbine is most efficient with 3 blades, and with low wind speed. And arc angle of the blade about 110deg to 150deg. Also power is linear to area of blades, so bigger is better...lineary@@DaftOldMan
