Shots fired! Driving thru most dangerous suburb in Cape Town

Another not-so scenic drive through Lavender Hill-nicknamed “Gangland” and arguably the most dangerous place in Cape Town. Friday the 13th lived up to its name on this drive in no uncertain terms! Don't try this at home. Thank you to the majority of residents who made us feel most welcome.

My home town. I still live in Lavender Hill, Hill View actually. And yeah, this is our daily life on the Cape Flats, ghetto gangland. Our prayer is that God would start a revival within Lavender Hill and across the Cape Flats, Delft, Hanover Park, Mananberg, Mitchell’s Plain etc…in the mighty name of Jesus.

Great video. Correction though. Lavender Hill came to the fore in the late 60's. I lived and grew up on the other side of the M5 in Steenberg. What you do during the day is what I do during the night, in the greater Mitchell's Plain area. Hair raising stuff. So many Capetonians are oblivious to what goes on in these crime ridden areas. Thank you and be careful out there.

I use to stay in Montague Village.Gang fights became the norm.I pray that the gang violence stops.It isn't nice to raise kids under those conditions 😢

Having grown up in JHB and EastRand I truly love Cape Town so much more than Jhb and surrounds, even the worst in CT is prefrable to best in Gauteng

Was delivering steal there a few years ago and about 10 laaities tried to rob me.very sad to see that children see what their parents do and try to do the same.

Just the name only sounds nice. Lavender Hill. And the name Delft. Ironically. It is the name of fine bone china. In Europe. So ironically. My husband and long time friend went for a weekend your. Of Michelle's Plains for the hell of it in 1992. When new South Africa came into exsistence

no .. lavender hill isnt that dangerous .. y dont u try n get you a local guide .. with the gunshots goin off u might find that u love my lavender hill
