I think some players, despite their young age, have shown that they can be equal to the pressure at tournaments. Look at Michael Owen, or Rooney, or Mbappe. Heck, even Renato Sanches did well for Portugal during their 2016 Euro campaign despite only being 18.

I think when it comes to international management you've gotta take advantage of a player who's playing well. Because you never know where they are gonna be in 2 years. Fingers crossed not but he could pick up a terrible injury or just never be as good as he is now.

He'd literally form part of arguably englands best midfield trio or the 2nd best. there isnt many 6's or 8's in the squad that can dictate tempo and he shouldn't be a guaranteed starter but he should be playing cause he's one of englands best midfielders. His positioning defensively is still raw but he offers enough in his duels, his IQ on the ball and the way he moves is like he came from spain lol He has much to learn but I could say that for every single 18 yo midfielder in history.

Already is generational with what he’s got now. Strong player with good technique and dribbling ability, and good defensively also and has good IQ, he can definitely shoot, needs to improve his positional play when his defenders have the ball or Southgate has to move him further up the pitch

he's more of a dm than a creative player. he protects the back 4. we need that because rice tends to bomb forward. the only alternative is John Stones but we dont have the strength at cb to move him forward.

Do you observe the way our mid is left open atimes when rice goes forward. With Mainoo,he will provide that cover

Rice just loves looking for him foden loves how he sees field hes perefct fit for 11. Its backend and net that is issue against bad teams they will have so much possession as usual they should roll. Also as usual against good teams where maybe a good defense turns them over england pace and organiation wise are just so succeptable to counter I dont think either maguire or dunk fit ben white would have been nice. Madison gives you creative spark, palmer too and rashford with pressure off can always get a goal. Foden needs a team that dominates possession to play as a 10 and England don't have the players . He's better on the right and linking centrally . Watch city next time properly. England are not city.
