wow, really enjoyed this vlog. happy birthday Barry. I'm only 72, hope to be as alert as you in 8 years. I'm planning on moving to the islands in a few years. my son and his filipina wife want to retire there, and of course, grandpa (me) is moving with them. I just wish I'd made the move 10 years ago. but it is what it is. hope to see you all there. I'm heading over to Barry's channel now.

Hi James Hi Ness:Spectacular drone footage of Barry's area .Barry's yard is awash in foliage and interesting vegetation. Thanks for the intro to his existence I would have never seen or heard about him. Seems to be a very interesting individual. I watched some of Barry’s video and subscribed. Amazing 80 year-old! Glad to see he enjoys living in the Philippines. That trumpet vine has beautiful huge flowers when they bloom. However, if you have dogs or cats, you want to make sure they don’t ingest it. They are toxic to animals. My friend lost her beloved pet that way. Thanks for sharing this fun video! 😊

It touch my heart emotionally because my father in-law died in the nursing home because he did not want to live with us as he was aging.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣where in the US is that because I see many seniors in the US getting respect. You must be in Mars USA. Anywhere in the world there's good and bad.

Yes, there is good and bad around the world but in the Philippines I just like to emphasize that seniors here get things we don't see in places like the US, such as priority in all lines, 10% discount at restaurants, discounts at the grocery store, seats so they don't have to stand at stores, banks etc, free health care at 60 (no more paying for PhilHealth), stipend after 60 to help out with expenses and certainly not the last benefit is respect from their families who most often take care of them at home during the time of their lives they really needs this loving care and support.

I agree with you 200 % James 😊 my mom is 72 yrs old she go to Zumba class with neighbors in their subdivision and they eat out pot luck style after that .. What I mean is Seniors in the Philippines still have lifestyle to enjoy plus love and respect from their family and friends.

Its been a while,I didnt see your vlogg,but nice to watch you enjoying our country. Im going to retire there,only half hour drive from Lipa city,originally from San Jose. Have a house at the countryside or barangay. We used to shopped in Lipa at the mall or at the wetmarket if we need more that we cant find here in our local market,but I think theres no problems now. I want to scape the winter here in Norway and fly back during summer time. Still working and not decided yet when Im going to retire,maybe 2 yrs more.
