I feel like the main reason snipers are op this season is because of their mag size. Being able to shoot 3 or 5 times without reloading is insanely op and will definitely make rotating very difficult.

DON‘T balance snipers through spawnrate, for the love of god. That would only increase the imbalance they bring to an unhealthy point. There’s genuinely nothing more frustrating than dying to someone with a gun you wanted to use yourself but couldn’t find all game due to bad luck. No weapon outside of shenanigans like RPG‘s has ever been balanced through spawn rate either, snipers are an essential part of the loadout to some of us and having that be random is just stupid. As a sniper main myself, bring back glares to all snipers, increase the travel time of the bullet, bring back hit scan for AR‘s and/or decrease the magazine size of snipers, really just anything that‘s not changing the headshot damage to below 200 or giving them a ridiculously low spawn rate.

fuck snipers, the rage after dying to a headshot snipe far outweighs the dopamine hit of hitting one yourself imo

How to fix snipers IN MY OPINION 1. Have all snipers have glare including the no scope one 2. Like Reisshub said make the snipers rare and you have to fight for them 3. Make green and blue snipers not one shot head shot (or just remove green and blue snipers that way it’s harder to find a sniper) 4. Make the 4x scope harder to find because this is the most broken sniper in my opinion

It's really up in the air either way, personally the thing I would like to see is for all scopes to have glare, because at the moment its basically optional which is just crazy. Other than that making them something of value where you actually have to land for them or fight for them would be pretty cool. Locking them to those weapon crates is the best idea we have at the moment, making them vault only would be too much of a change and not so good for duos and bigger modes.

as a ZB player i hate the sniper as a competitive item. i think it’s fine in pubs and even ranked, but in those duo cash cups where u only get three finals games, it’s extremely frustrating when you or ur teammate get headshot sniped from nowhere

Snipers should be in comp, CURRENT snipers should not.

I also think the current format of duos and solos also heavily makes the snipers stronger. Is it was trios with limited sniper spawns I feel like getting headshot sniped would be way less significant cause teammates can revive and the other can hold walls.

I like snipers in comp, I always thought that they were looked at too harshly no matter what kind were in, I just think all snipers need glare, slow reload time and one shot in the mag and they're fine.

I feel like they should remove some of the optic options on snipes and only have the acog and 4x on it as well as adding glare to the acog. I also think that the original shooting model is better, but as long as we have optics in the game that remove bloom hitscan wont really work. its just too strong. If they returned to hitscan (prob not happening) maybe removing the first-person ads and having the optic attachments affect bloom instead would be a possibility 🤷‍♂

I have whole game wins without even finding a sniper in unranked squads since this update. Its so weird how rare they are now. The drop rate nerf and changes really were good

I should say keep the sniper but picking out a point of where the snipers should locate. They did make a change already to that. Everyone knows guaranteed snipers in vaults before the update now the snipers got changed by the new ars. Weapon cases still have them guaranteeded I think.

Love it in pubs, but when you are in a lobby with top players that has amazing aim, snipers do feel like cheating and I'm sure it puts a huge stress on you just by rotating in the open

I'd say leave snipers in cach cups but in big tournaments either remove them or lower their damage just for that occasion

as a casual/semi competitive player , snipers this season are hella fun but annoying and i can not imagine someone can stand them in a tournament

Id keep snipers but make s huge change in that the time to get first shot 100% accuracy is increased. Have it fumction similar to the hand camnon where if you want perfect accuracy you have to hard scope in about 1.5 seconds and your not getting it while moving. Give it that high risk high reward

I personally believe that while the idea of making all weapons projectile was cool, the byproduct of it was making snipers objectively the best poke weapons in the game for mid/long range surge tags or even just confirming kills. In my opinion I do think that every weapon should return to being hitscan aside from snipers, as I do believe that the reaver sniper, in its current iteration is relatively balanced in a vacuum, the fact that assault rifles are extremely difficult to get medium/long range tags with does not help with the overall balance of the game. Unless you can make the assault rifles borderline hitscan with projectile speed and bullet drop, I do not think that with the current bullet drop system snipers will be "balanced" for top competitive play. All my opinion of course.

For me personally, I think they should remove some of the attachments for snipers and only leave the hunting rifle one in the tournaments. It’s the most skilled option

Ive been headshot sniped more this season than any other season

for me the no one shot snip is the good solution, even 190 head shot, causee like that you can have kills make clutch but just no getting killed if you're full hp

Make it 1 bullet instead of 3 2 instead of 5 with the attachment only way not to have glare on the sniper is no scope or 1.15x scope 96-98 Body and 192-196 hs with green-purple rarity then gold hits 105 body 210 hs ( make it so gold snipers only spawn in mythic vaults ) This makes mythic poi's more intense and keeps a level of fairness in the game :)

Honestly, ars are just underutilized because of the new bullet drop feature. Its next to useless mid to far range, and snipers took their place

I like snipers but they defo need a nerf, I was in a rank up game to elite and my teammate got headshot sniped on a rotate and it just a hassle because then you need to spend mats getting them back up

As a decent player i think that snipers should be in competitive although sometimes its annoying it definitely helps me in terms of closing the skill gap. How i see it, headshot sniping an insane player is better than absolutely getting blended by one. At the end of the day I just wanna get the victory royale

epic should: - keep snipers in the game, theyre fun to use and watch - keep headshot instakill, its satisfying and wont be a problem if the changes below are implemented - change it to 1 mag size, not 3/5, wayyy more balanced and thats how its worked the best previously in the game - make the snipers more difficult to use, slower bullet travel etc, again, leads to less headshot snipes and less snipes being hit in general, makes the feeling of hitting a snipe better and snipers less annoying when theyre used against you, as it was in chapter 1 -remove bullet travel from ars, but nerf the ars dps so they dont become op, epic has had balanced ars before its not hard for them to do it again

I think snipers should be in. I've always said that they're important for viewership. But I think you shouldn't be able to be oneshotted when you're max HP aka 100/100 unless you have a gold sniper and you headshot someone. I also think like Reiss says that they should be harder to use than they currently are. It feels like it's not much of a skill at the moment though granted it is extremely satisfying when you get to snipe someone. I also think that Fortnite should keep some semi uncompetitive things in the loot pool again like Reiss said. Fortnite used to be a very silly and goofy game with junk rifts and things. I totally understand a lot of items are terrible for competitive play but there needs to be some items that casual players can use or enjoy watching pros use. Snipers fall into that catagory. That would help a little bit with Fortnite becoming a game that to me takes itself just slightly too seriously when originally it was the opposite. Game balancing is very hard at the end of the day though and I understand you'll never please everyone. I just hope that they will find a way to make snipers the current contested topic a little more well recieved by the majority. I'd suggest putting scope glint on all the sights with snipers and removing the scopeless varient in competitive specifically so ranked and tournaments (if only ranked had it's own loot pool but that's not what we're talking about so I digress a little.) There is so many ways that snipers and other loot items can be tweaked so most people are happy. Ultimately I would like to see more consistency within fortnite competitive loot systems. Taking stuff in and out is just scratchy and uncomfortable. They just need to have snipers in or have them out and that goes for loads of other things too. This back and forth between seasons makes it feel inconsistent to watch and play a standard theme or rotation for loot each season/chapter that means you will always have an AR, an SMG and a sniper would be lovely. You can still rotate the varients each season or chapter but just be consistent on the type of weapons that will be there.

Snipers should stay, no matter the game mode and it should not receive any nerfs. They are bolt action snipers for a reason and they are meant to be one shot to the head. Even in zero build, it can one shot because: 1. That is what they are meant to do. 2. Even if you can kill them in one hit, you need skill and aim to use it (accounting for bullet drop and non-hit scan bullets)

How to fix snipers: nerf the mag size to only one and remove the drum mag mod for snipers only allowing fast reload as a mod. Bullet drop is ok now it's much much harder to hit long range shots, it already was hard enough before the nerf now it's almost impossible to snipe further than 150 meters. And remove the green rarity snipers making them harder to find. And maybe make them hit you for 199 max in solos only.

In my opinion, i think snipers should not be in Cash Cups since you can just simply tower up or get high ground just to perform a headshot 100m away from the player you just sniped. Even with the massive sniper nerf it is still too powerful to this day.

Yea in the recent ranked cups there were no mod benches or cars ... Watched some players streaming live being forced to use a sniper with no scope .... Which left alot of the game to luck, do you pick up the purple sniper with no scope or the gold nemesis with a sniper scope lol Is that consisdered balancing the loot pool in tournaments? I dunno

Snipers should be only legendary and super hard to find, and we should get the mammoth pistol back with bullet drop and attachments so we have another thing to use heavy ammo on

I know waht would balance snipers, it is letting me put a 4x scope on pistols.

I reckon when you reload it you should have to reload each bullet in the mag individually, so you can't just reload all quickly mid fight. But the 3 mag is nice to have.

At this point, snipers do not matter. Epic broke this season with how many OP weapons are in the game. There is little skill to this season. Just get a console and control and just mantle on builds and spray.
