Your move was never going to work from that far behind, but mistakes happen and that’s racing. His reaction and sportsmanship after that incident was just disgusting

Thats true but he was alongside the audi a bit, the audi has to at least give a car width of space. He couldve easily kept the position on the outside which would be the inside for the next turn. No reason to squeeze there. Alex' move was one to start a fight, a nice fight, where both cars drive alternative lines until one comes out ahead. Its one of the only ways to overtake in higher levels. The audi had 80% of the track but refused to give the other 20% to Alex

I agree with Fly, respectfully. First move was ambitious…. Not quite at his door. But this early into the race I would have left space. How he drove afterwards is ridiculous and deserving of a ban. Maybe not for life, but something he would get the point. (My opinion only!)

@@mannoesgehtnix”a bit” you need your front tyres to be alongside their rear tyres to be considered alongside another car. Rory had his front bumper in-line with his rear bumper. Was a full on send and was never going to work.

Rory was not far ahead of #17's car to be able to claim the inside corner. One must not assume when you are not far ahead at that point that close to the corner that they see you even with the radar when one's attention is that corner and the exit to follow.

First attempt can be judged too ambitious, but the audi changed the side of defense 2 times, to be honest that can be called squeeze. Personally i never squeeze when i race, expecially in a breaking point

His reaction was ridiculous, but I think your attempt to overtake was extremely ambitious and would have needed a large amount of compliance from Robinson. Which at that level of racing is not something to rely on. There was little or no overlap before braking and given you were all the way over on the left for an upcoming tight left hander means (to me) you were never making that corner not to mention overtaking on that corner.

To me it looks like Rory was having a look down the inside but didn’t exactly go for the overtake. Otherwise he would have had to have sent it with a dive bomb from that far back braking far later than normal which he didn’t. The contact came because Robinson squeezed Rory before the apex. Either way Robinsons reaction was crazy and he could probably use a break from the game based off that alone.

@Pro_Blunder I see what you're saying but given how far ahead Robinson was - not a huge amount but just enough to "own" the corner, so to speak - I think Rory would have been better off setting up a pass later on. His approach to the corner was way too shallow. Had he taken that approach without Robinson there, he would have lost a lot of time and likely would have been passed by cars behind. With Robinson there going even having a look was only going to end in contact - either from being in a sub-optimal position in the approach to the corner, or at the phase Robinson turns because he has to turn at some point, and as I see it, he had "rights" to take that corner with a reasonable expectation that nobody would send it up his inside.

@@Ricky_Baldy Yeah of course. Like you said he had the right to the racing line as he was clearly ahead. But he didn’t exactly take a racing line through the corner. He squeezed Rory before the apex. Had he taken the normal line and hit the apex as usual this would have given Rory more time to get the car slowed enough to avoid contact. To be honest it looked to me that he was in 2 minds. He went for the racing line. Then when he saw Rory look down the inside he came across to block. The problem is you can’t do this kind of thing in the braking zone without the inevitable collision.

@Pro_Blunder It seems Robinson took a defensive line, and maybe because of inexperience or bad experience, he took the approach he did. I'm not sure he moved too much in the braking zone. Rather, he had to live with the consequences of the line he took. No doubt its frustrating to be stuck behind a defending driver, especially if they are somewhat erratic. That said, Rory having a look when and where he did reduced his options. He probably would have lost out on time/position even if there was no contact. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Had Rory taken the standard line, he may have gotten the pass done on exit. 50/50 is probably a fair assessment, in my view.

Nowhere near enough of your car was alongside for that first move. You were depending on him to give you the space, Bit of a Verstappen/Senna’esque dive bomb if you ask me. Your putting the other person in a situation of you either move or we crash. Hence his antics afterwards, general rule I think for racing is at least half of your car if not all needs to be alongside to warrant some space for the overtake 👍

I think everyone knows it was ambitious, and should maybe warrant giving the position back, but to be rammed and squeezed for the rest of the race isn’t the solution. If someone can’t control their temper or have enough awareness to give just a bit of room to save themselves from spinning that’s on their head. As much as you can’t expect the car you’re inside of to open up a gap for you, it also can’t be expected that a driver will find 50% more braking out of nowhere when they make a late move.

@@Sharpened_Spoon agreed. In situations like this I tend to flip it if it was the other way around how would you feel, for sure his actions afterwards was way over the top. Also as Rory was making his way back through there’s a similar situation where the NSX tries to make a move through maggots and beckets and takes him out when again there was nowhere near enough space. Rory’s facial expression told me that he wasn’t impressed soo again I get why guy no.1 was mad but actions after were not right

I do think your move might have been a bit more than 50/50. Yes he had a weird line through the corner but I don't think you was enough alongside to be entitled to the corner, so he has the right to whatever track he likes. That's my opinion anyway. The rest of it was just silly sausages though. It is a ban per LFM rules

Honestly Rory is a bit blind to his own mistakes here. Goes for a full dive bomb on the guy and says “I don’t think I did too much wrong” when all he had was a front bumper alongside the Audi. He was sending it into a space that was closing and he should have given up the corner since it was never his corner. Even the part where the Audi is slightly off track, Rory is squeezing him off and not giving him any room to rejoin onto the racing surface. In fact Rory actually comes across closer to the Audi giving him even less room which you can see by how close he is to the left line on the track. At that point the Audi was only giving Rory as much space as he was being given which was none at all.

First one 100% on you, door was always gonna close whether he took an early turn in or not. You weren’t far enough alongside & a bit of a send. No malice in it, it’s racing. His reaction though, absolutely shameful.

Audi changed his line while braking, you can not do that. he should close the inside before braking or let him dive.

The along side and overlap should be taken in conjunction with the events leading up to the first incident. The Audi was on the back foot leading up to the corner. Audi was on the defense and decided to take the offensive position by opening up the inside line. Rory showed the Audi a possible overtake was imminent. I feel Rory was trying to poke his nose into the inside but the Audi decided to close the door as a defensive move. The "owning the corner" due to who was ahead is a loose term. Rory was the aggressor in the turn but not at all fully to blame. Take in consideration the difference in skill level as well. Love the ACC content Rory... Keep it coming.

IMHO, in the first incident it looked an awful lot like he was moving under braking, as he should have sticked to a line parallel to the kerb until starting to turn into the corner. He was veering left as soon as he was braking (as seen in the 3rd person replay). Not gonna argue if the overtake should have been done or not, just pointing out an aspect that is often forgotten.

When you went for that overtake he was already at the corner, you had no overhang on his car only to his bumper which the FIA would in real term give you a drive through for and if you had made it (you never would) you would’ve blocked the track on the exit making it a dangerous pass again giving you a drive through or a 5 second penalty at least. He took it to far yes but you need to learn the rules to pass because that was shocking!!

I think you pissed him off. In his mind you first punted him (maybe you did) then you (accidentally) block his path and give him big front damage, and then pulling away he will think you turned in to him. By that point he hates you and the "wierd one" is a retaliation. Would love to see his on board for that one. You should know when you have pissed a driver off and give them a wider birth if you want to keep LFM ratings.

Live example of that sn f1 in monaco in 2019 (i think) with max and lewis. The move was not on just like in the f1 race as well. But the driving of the audi cannot be excused definitely!

The initial incident was your fault. You didn't have enough overlap to be given space. He also made his intentions clear with the line he was taking. Look into Vortex of Danger. The rest of the clown behaviour is all on him and ban worthy, report it.

I had a driver yesterday whiles racing around Valencia do something completely stupid. So it all started with a battle for the lead which was looking fairly promising I was in a green Lamborghini and the other driver was in a Ferrari. The Ferrari got down the inside at one of the hairpins turn 8 to be pasific but wasn’t able to get fully clear so we went up to turns 10 and 11. The Ferrari try to turn down on my car whiles I still had a overlap and as a result got turned around. Point to note I didn’t do anything silly to turn the Ferrari I gave plenty of room, I didn’t turn into the Ferrari I held my line, did nothing to the Ferrari that would’ve resulted in a particular situation that the Ferrari would’ve ended up off the road in the first place. But what happened afterwards was just uncalled for so the driver of the Ferrari got so salty about the touch that when he was a lapped car whiles I was trying to pass mind you I was flashing the lights signalling that I was a faster car coming up behind he didn’t let me through but when I had a run he just pushed me off the road. Now I wasn’t going to have a bar of it so I did a return of serve not to the point where I put both cars out but it was just enough to say look if don’t race properly you’re gonna get a bigger slap on the wrist. Than on the same lap a couple of corners later at the turn 8 hairpin the Ferrari just straight up rammed me for no obvious reason except they where still so salty about happened earlier. All of that from just one mistake that he did and he would’ve known that he was in the wrong just decided not to use his head in the right way after the fact.

The audi did go overboard with it, but the thing I've noticed while racing LFM myself is that people want to race aggressive in the moment, but can't handle the things that happen while doing so, would I have given you some attitude about the bump and spin, yes but not blatantly taken you out

I think, if it was just the bump he may not have reacted as badly? It probably pushed him over the edge when Rory was sideways across the track (which, of course, he didn't want to be).

I don't think making a move in the corner is ever a good idea, especially a dive, but regardless of that it's written black on white in the rules that you can't change your line in the braking zone so the defending was just as illegal as the move itself so absolutely no reasons for him to be that angry...

I highly recommend looking at that Audi guy's inputs. I'm not saying any of those were accidental, but it really helps to get the full picture. I'd say 1st one is 100% on you, textbook dive where you were never really alongside him. Everything else though... Pure madness, absolute dogshit, if I'm not mistaken people got permabanned for less on LFM.

This is why I quit multiplayer racing to many people who have the intellectual prowess of a dried up dog turd in the backyard. They can't stand it if there's mild contact or none in some cases, you just passed them and it's full blown nut bag. You handled it well don't let him or her bug you keep racing with class and honor. TBH Ryan your move on the Audi was poor, the door was slightly open so you went for it but your front wheels weren't inline with his rears and the door was always going to close, though hindsight is a wonderful thing eh. However your failed move was not malicious and the damage done to his race was very minimal and you did not deserve that treatment from him.

5:11 that dive wasnt going to work on your behalf. yes, the audi could have given you some space but your positioning was going to compromised by the sausage curb. not only that your rejoin was sloppy with no real concern for other cars on the track. 6:02 maybe a racing incident...maybe 11:09 you could have given the audi a little more space when you have the whole right side available everything else afterwards was the audi squeezing you out of frustration

I'm toke a look on the comments and I agree with most you were less than half of a car infront, and you were going to go wide. He could have backed of, but your attempt would be punished if he reports. On his side, I see that he hit you on purpouse 2 or 3 times probably. I really like LFMs rules of if you are reincident the punishment is greater, so I would say, that for a guy at sprint 1, to behave like that, its not the first time....

You had a clear dive bomb into the corner, it was not yours, clear even if he could give you a bit space since the next corner would be his anyway but clear your fault and you did destroyed some of his race. You should have given him back his position. Everything after that was just wrong from his side, do not justify what you did before, was a missjuding from your side, so you hitted the wrong person and he should be banded, you should have gotten a 5 to 10 sec penelty (but you don't get that at ACC). i think if he would have given the position back gentleman-like to the Audi, nothing would have happened after. But he was more interested in manipulating his chat against that audi, forgetting the other drivers on the track :/

@@chrismr.7035 well, I think after the situation with the Audi he was not 100% focus in the race, but to be honest, when I drive and my wife come down in my cave and ask me something, I can't either, so he is a commentator, reading the chat, had a accident and makes thought about the issue with the Audi, so the issue with the MB in the one corner a smaller issue, with the MD and Honda he did not see the Honda had the right-hander, the accident then with the Audi again was pure revenge from Audi. But here is one problem with acc in general, we mostly do not drive with VR or a curved 48" billion monitor and I have a rig and a TV afront so I just have a POV from 56, I think Rory don't have much more, would be great if in ACC could make virtual mirrors for left and right in the game, as overlayer software I haven't found this option anyware, and the small indicator in the mid of screen is in the fight of the action to small

@@europer67 Sure these are technical issues that should be adressed, but hes either a "little" self focused in general, or doesnt have the ability to anticipate situations, which are both not helpful in ACC ... :/ To denounce People he doesnt even know for accidents involving his own missbehaviour on his YT Channel is one of the signs that hes not aware of doing anything wrong also .... (if its not just clickbait anyways carried out on the back of the other guy) ..

Its strict because of incidents like this, the mods want a clean, healthy and competitive league. 1 mistake sure but 4 attempts to nearly take the other driver out is excessive

The first incident was 60% on you sorry. But I thought I saw weaving and luffing into you before that. Also post the first contact when you spun, by pure accident, you made contact again. The other drive may have perceived that as intended. No one commenting can decide if this driver should or shouldn't be banned, only LFM can. Report the incident and allow the other person a chance to speak their side of the story. IMO, the other driver needs to reconsider why he it or she is playing 'a game' in such a manner. Imagine that on an actual road. Death.

*Poor driving and poor choices all around* Initial incident, 80% on you, 20% on him, not a great spot for a move, didn't make the b-pillar. Yeah, I understand that you can't disappear, but you've got to be further alongside for that one. You had just mentioned the difficulty of trying it on around the outside on the Audi, yet, if the Audi saw you, gave you the room there, you would have been on the outside for the subsequent two corners. Bad move. Then you got to banging panels with the Merc, first touch, fair enough, then he was well up the inside, and you did something that I have heard you bemoan on this very channel, you "kept your foot in it off track and tried to keep the position", which you successfully did, while the Merc gave the spot to the Honda... then the Honda showed up at the apex of the right hand kink, where you spun, *unintentionally* (obviously), right onto the seemingly "hazard fixated" Audi's bonnet. I'd have been pissed at you too, if you spun me, kept the foot in it, then "spun into me" within almost a minute... Does it excuse his driving after? No. Is it a "lifetime ban"? *Certainly not* You did still put yourself in bad positions to make a pass on him though, outsides where you were certain to run out of asphalt. From his rig, you ruined *his* race.

I dont get this lifetime bans suggestions, these things happen in real life, and they get a starting from the back next race, or a grid drop... I think we are all taking these things a little bit too far... its a game, and one we can all enjoy, but unless people are hurling abuse at you, then yes a voice ban. my god, people are cheating at the top end of e-sports and gaining huge amounts of money and sponsorship as a result and nothing happens. I have playing racing games and sims for the majority of my life, and if a game lets you do what the other person is doing you just dish it back. When I was playing PG4 years ago, the was a game called CAT and MOUSE, they should establish this variant on all sim games so people can get there fix of trading paints fun.

Never any point in retaliating on ACC because every hit loses you a chunk of SA, which seems to take forever to claw back. Yes, you made a mistake with that send but for all he knew, your SA could have been just over LFM's threshold, meaning that he could have stopped you racing there for 2-3 days. Report and hope for a ban.

You didn't make a mistake for me, Mister Robinson should get a BAN from the mc address, I ride in the LFM and I'm regularly disappointed by the fairness of the "drivers". ACC and LFM should think about raiting. There are rules even on the imaginary race track. If that doesn't fit, you should drive Mario Kart. So and now you can hit me.

He just wasn't mature enough to let it go and keep going... He lost his head.. Got too overwhelmed by his rage and tried to ruin your race for the rest of the time you were out there... Doesn't matter if you were in the wrong or not Rory ( IMO, you just misjudged the braking by a fraction of a second... Who hasn't done that??!!??!!) ... He simply took it too personally and wasn't professional enough to continue amicably... Shame on him... He should get booted!!!
