I’m sorry but everyone should contribute. There are plenty of discounts and freebies as you get older, those that aren’t afforded to those who are younger. I do however think that the wealthiest should be taxed a higher percentage instead of just constantly taxing those on lower income

National Insurance is an insurance premium for which you build up the right to a pension, which they are already getting and are insured against being unable to work through disability or unemployment. Pensioners no longer have to work so have no benefit from the insurance premium. Paying something and getting nothing in return has a different name, so call it what it is - tax

Labour will go for every opening they can to get money of people. National Insurance payments were for your pension, how people can think that when you qualify to claim it you should continue to pay for it. Its like when you have paid for your house or anything else for that matter you should continue to pay for it even though you are now a fully paid up member. DON'T VOTE LABOUR.

What is she on about £1.5b is a tiny amount of money for government services. I never want to pay tax or NI. Anyone earning less than £25k should be exempt. Vote reform.
