Great review as always, thank you. But sure would like to see some of the base models (Like AR220, SX220) compared to the older AR210/ SX210) Or even AR250 to AR220. Not all of us or even first time buyers of jet boats are buying the highest end models. I feel the AR/SX 220 compared to the older 210 base models have as much or if not more storage when you take away all the Drive / Wake boat equipment like hydraulics and modules and wake bags that fill all these storage compartments. Even things like the Connex screens on the new models could be talked about over what the previous generations had.

Thank you! We typically only review boats we have access to. We usually buy more of the mid or high line models so the entry level stuff does not get as much attention unfortunately. If Yamaha would loan us some boats each year we'd get alot more content out there. Maybe you could reach out to them and give them the idea! lol

@@JetBoatPilot Does the 22ft series have a seat filler for the walk through portion on the transom like the 25ft series? Any after market cushions available to fill that walk space and gain another forward facing seat? I’m torn between the 222xe and 255xe. Would love another forward facing seat for the 222xe and arm rests on the captain’s chairs!

@Leigh Hicks ours does not have one. Probably intentionally left it out so the 25 would be an enticing upgrade

Nice features and some great upgrades and additions. I just do not like that new side profile. I personally prefer the 21” profile better.

We were thinking of doing the same. We have a 2020 AR190 right now, debating on going all the way up to the 252S.

Excellent Video to upgrade like I did from 2019 212LS to a 2023 252S ... on another note can you please make a video on how to tow and what to tow with our Yamaha jet boat i have seen boater towing at the wrong point bigger boats will be a nice lesson, thanks in advance JBP. Will, Florida.

I've heard that the new 22ft boats are more stable on the water than the previous 21ft boats. Is this true? They appear to to have a deeper V hull and appear to weigh more.

It does feel more stable. Not sure how to give a metric though.

Are there any aftermarket options for the wakesurf hydraulically actuated tabs? I'd love to give up the wakebooster :)

There are. I think Gantlin Products makes a Wake Wedge still. We discontinued our JetWash Deflector due to staffing issues. We've had to make some decisions on where our time is best spent and the surf products portion of our business unfortunately had to be reduced a bit.

Hi Will! Can you please provide a link for the fluke anchor you have in the bow storage? I bought one, but the flukes are too short, and they long enough to secure in the notches provided. Thank you!

Have they done anything to improve the seaweed from clogging the i take grates? I sold my 2017 210 just because of that nuisance.

I have 108 inches of clearance to get into my garage, will the new 22 foot model fit with the tower down? It looks a good bit taller.

I don't think it will fit unless you release the cables on the tower and lower it all the way down. You'll want to place some foam or other protective material in places where the tower contacts other boat components. I am not 100% certain it will fit but we can try to get a measurement when we take that boat out next time.

@@JetBoatPilot thanks for the quick reply! I knew releasing the cables was possible so the tower folds under the windshield on the 21’ foot models but didn’t know you could do that on the new ones
