I had a liquid facelift after the Pfizer vaccine and having covid and I have to have all filler removed, I've had 4 instances of an immune response, swelling, tenderness. steriods and antibiotics. Unsure if it's due to Covid, vaccine or if I have an underlying immune condition. So sad because I've loved the results.

That's a terrible shame but likely the right decision! How long after the Pfizer vaccine and having covid was it before you got the liquid facelift? ❤️Trust it's all ok again

@@DrSarahTonks I had covid in December, vaccinated in February and started the filler in March. The plan has been to hit the hot spots where I was inflamed but now actually this Wednesday we're dissolving it all. I'm an RN here in the US so know a bit about the immune system. I'm sure there are other options out there for me to look "refreshed" but this has honestly been a nightmare. Thank you so very much for your response, love your channel

@@amygentile1021 I had a delayed extreme reaction after receiving 4 syringes of Vollure: Facial swelling, slurring of speech, loss of balance. When they did an MRI it showed I had a TIA. I think it produced a strong immune reaction and I have been dealing with residual effects ever since.

Interesting! I haven't had fillers, but my injector this week (for botox for TMJ disorder) was interested to know if it would last as long as my previous ones as I have now had both doses of AZ. As she had read that there are some reports there may be effects on longevity or metabolisation. We shall see! P.s. Love your channel and content! It helped me to decide to try botox for my TMJ earlier this year and I'm now keen to try some more cosmetic treatments :)

my doctor did tell me about this concern about botox and fillers with the Covid vaccines. had pfizer and had botox and filler about a month after getting fully vaccinated and no side effects. I think it is not advised for now until further studies for people of older age like 50s. I was also hospitalized for Covid back in late April and dexametha something was also one of the medications given to me.

Thank you for bringing this topic. I personally had three times Covid infection and every time my lip filler reacted. Resolved spontaneously. But as I also practice aesthetics,always recommend one month gap between vaccine and filler and three days of dexamethason . I did not have any problems. So thanks again!😊

Such a great video! I'm very late, but would like to share my experience as well. I had dermal filler, Restylane, in the tear through area in 2017. I was very pleased with the result. It lasted a long time, but started to migrate a bit, so I was thinking of possibly dissolving it. Had three shots of the Pfizer vaccine in 2020 and 2021. No reaction with my filler. Then I got Covid in January 2022. My eyes became red, my under eyes area also got red, very swollen, hard to the touch, really itchy, sore and inflamed. It was rather painful. This lasted for a couple of months before it went away by itself. I had no treatment for it. Afterwards I decided to have the filler resolved. That proved to be a bit difficult. I had hyaluronidase injected in the area at four different appointments, with to weeks between each appointment, but there was still some left. At that point my provider told my that sometimes it's not possible to dissolve everything. I had Covid again in November, and this time I also experienced inflammation in the area where there was still a bit of filler left, but it was very minor. Nothing like the first time. I wouldn't want to discourage anyone from having filler. I still think it can do wonders for people. I'm happy though that we are learning about possible interactions with filler, and how to treat them.

Yes this is not common but it can happen and they are right sometimes it’s very hard to dissolve everything even with multiple rounds of hyalase!

I had my 1 and a half year old chin filler inflamed after my 2nd Pfizer vaccine and the inflammation felt just like a 2nd day after getting a filler and it dissipated after 3 days on its own. Interestingly my cheek and nose fillers weren’t inflamed maybe coz they had been done a bit earlier

I think you are right- seems to be a small window of potential inflammation / swelling after having fillers.

So if I get filler 4 weeks after my second vaccine, chances of swelling are very small or even (close to) zero? I already got my second vaccine (moderna) and it's been three weeks and nothing happend with my current fillers. Thank you for answering💕

Yes that should keep you in the clear ❤️ always a chance of swelling but effects should be minimised

I had my second Moderna dose yesterday, and I have woken up with a huge bubble of inflammation and swelling on one side of my face where I had tear-trough filler injected twelve months ago. I've had filler in other parts of my face, but they all remain stagnant. Lord help me....

There is a reaction with botox with covid as so many people aren't getting good results and a lot aren't getting any results.

Me too and I got the vaccine (nothing happend like for the majority of people) I think that the health risk of covoid and it's consequences are way worse than the small potential of swelling🤷🏻‍♀️

I have had fillers and got the vaccine and there wasn't any interaction. When I get a cold, my filler swells for a few days. I imagine I would swell if I got covid and I would also have covid.

That's right the swelling seems to occur when the auto-immune system is triggered ✅

Dying from covid is worse than swelling up for max a few days. I got lip fillers and two weeks later de Pfizer vaccine. My lips were a lil bit swollen, but I had taken paracetamol, anti histamines and had prednisolon (which was my dad's medication) on hand just in case anything would happen. The NHS in the UK is terrible at responding to emergencies. You have to wait hours in waiting rooms during covid to be seen in a general hospital or a week before a General Practitioner will see you.
