I played most of 2, absolutely loved it (aside from Rex's voice acting sadly) but never ended up finishing it because withe cut scenes can be so long it was difficult to plan out play sessions. Did the same and pre-ordered 3 though, decided I need to play them all so also picked up definitive edition and have now started the journey. Good luck!

Man I like this approach I also pre order and get xc3 day one but I started playing xcde on riujinx because I never finished it on the Wii I m 45h on it and MAN I m really loving every aspect of this game I m so into it I went full on buying it and xc2 on Amazon so after I finish de on the emulator I will play future connected on the switch and immediately start 2 on the switch also this will be a very long but if the lore continue as it is going a ver VERY fun time 😁 PD: you win a sub because you put your emotions first rather than KZfaq on top so you are doing what you want to do not what the numbers say I seriously respect that 👍 PD2: sorry for my English 🙃

always recommend to play the newer game first, why? because if new players like the game they will be interested in playing earlier games. I'm playing chronicles 3 and I loved it, its so damn good, the bad thing only is lots of monsters that attack you ( it would be good if they were no aggro)

My first Xenoblade was 2 and I loved it. Then went back to try 1 and the combat felt like such a downgrade in comparison and I couldn't get myself to finish it. Hoping 3 is good!

I found a sealed copy of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 at Goodwill for about $2 and I'm not sure if I should open it lol. I've never played the series but I'm curious.

I played all the games back to back in less than 2 weeks before 3 and all it did was make 3 worse for me. The game is vastly different in design and they went for more mainstream choices this time around. They got rid of a lot if gameplay mechanics that I learned to love in my 80 hour journey and replaced them with mmo lite gameplay. 40 hours into the game and there hasn't been many references to 1 or 2 so I'd say don't waste your time, these games are not crucial to play in order at all.

I'm still finished Xenoblade Chronicles 1 on Wii that I have since 2011. So It has a Big place on my Heart. But I bought Xenoblade Chronicles 3 today 😂. For the moment, I'm still linked to the first one on Wii so I can't Say I love the 3rd. But I only played one hour, I'll go on this one to see Also, what about Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U?

Well I played them all, and I would say you can probably just play the third game. There are more like small nods to the previous games that you will pick up on and meaby you will say oh that's a cool little detail but yeah the story is stand alone, the world is stand alone and the villains an heroes are standalone.

In the beginning it doesnt matter so much, but towards the end it starts to payoff having played the others first. Especially so for future connected. Still not necessary however

The only one that's normal games sized is torna the golden country at 20-40 hours. Xenoblade 1 is like 100-150 hours and 2 is freaking 150-250 hours.

For me I prefer XC-2 I miss the blades and I like the story I miss PYRA and MYTHRA, and Nia they’re my favorite characters on this game I cry in the end of the game it was really sad 😔 😭 I like the cutscene movie on XC-3 but I hate the interlinks on the XC 3 game I find it annoying

If you want to get the most out of it, yes. But if you play XC3 and you really liked it, good news, there 2-3 more games you can play that are different enough gameplay-wise, which means you won't be playing games that are lower in scope or tech.

I just watched recaps of 1 and 2 .. now I kind of feel like I spoiled myself of possible plot twists in 3 .. cause based on my understanding on the past 2 games never trust anyone in your team and one of the characters can possibly be deity or a higher being etc.. and seeing as the overthinker that I am.. I kinda think that the heroes of xb3 are the same masked guys shown in the trailer, that they are some sort of sentient being trying to change reality.. I hope I am wrong and I wish I haven't watched the recap for the past two titles.. 😭 (PS: I played Xenoblade Chronicles 1 on 3ds way years back but never got to finish it)

What game is the best game play and graphics on switch?

As a whole, I think it would make most sense to just play in order, especially since all the games are on Switch. This wasn't always the case considering Xenoblade 1 used to only be in Wii and 3DS. Also, a lot of references and connections wont hit as hard when you haven't played the first two games

Even tho I already finished Xenoblade Chronicles the Definitive Edition 2 times already I'll just jump straight into Xenoblade Chronicles 3 just cause the battle mechanics are much better and how you can have more party members in your team

I’m playing 1 right now but I’m probably gonna skip 2. I got the first one because it was universally loved, but the second one was not. And I don’t feel like playing full price for a 5 year old game that had a lot of critics. Nintendo is such a jackass with how they refuse to drop prices on old games. Tbf Xbox and PlayStation are bad at it too, but no where near as bad. Esp Xbox with gamepass
