-- Where are you from?
I was born and raised in the United States. I live in California.
-- How many years have you been teaching?
Over 20 years.
-- What qualifications do you have?
I have a Master's degree in linguistics with an emphasis in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)
-- What languages do you speak?
English is my native language. I've studied Spanish, Czech, French, a little German, and Portuguese. I speak Portuguese as my second language because my husband is from Brazil.
-- Do you teach online?
I have a full-time teaching job at a college in California, so I rarely offer online lessons, but join my email list (link above) and I'll let you know!

You are so true ma'am. I usually do the reading in mind for there will always be people around me, who also keep reading something.

I do agree. We need to look at the purpose of reading. I read out loud more often because I want to practice my pronunciation, but to be honest I don't get the content of what I read, just read like a machine.

I read aloud every once in a while, it's easier for me to focus on what I'm reading. But after a while I end up hoarse lol
