Dating apps in India! Is it the perfect tool for busy individuals who want to find love online or an addictive obsession which can turn very unhealthy?
Low self esteem due to no matches, obsession of swiping & getting validation & being stuck in a loop of dating is the issue with these apps! Can we fix them?

I agree. When you can't get any match,it does affect one's self esteem. It made me very conscious about how I look and the insecurities within me started taking control. Also,using this app made me realise how shallow we can get. That is one thing I learned from using dating apps. So,I decided to leave it. Yes,it works for some but it doesn't work for me and my mental health.

Very true. It drastically reduces your self confidence when you dont get any matches, or a person with whom you matched ignores you. Trust me, these apps are a total waste of time and they do more harm than good. For some, these may be a source of amusement as they like being reminded everytime how "special" they are or to increase their followers on other social media platforms but what these people need to keep in mind is not to hurt the feelings of the other people, unless they are becoming creepy. And like everything else, exceptions do exist but for most of the people here, this is the true scenario.

I paid money for Bumble subscription Amount got deducted from my bank and Subscribtion is not activated There is not even a confirmation message that amount is received Simply throwing out hard earned money into the ocean of cheaters pockets like this No response I lost I was cheated This is not at all fair The support/help section is fake They will not respond

One negative point I felt you missed that I experienced when I was on dating apps is that - You end up matching with the same pool of people. So a lot of times you and friend both will match with the same person either at the same time or sometime later. What this tends to do, and I can say with personal experience, is that it sours or ruins your relationship with your friend. I know there will be people who will be cool with this but a lot of people find this very strange. This thing I feel is dangerous.

It pays to lie and mislead in these apps. Honesty is not always the best policy 1. Put your profession as Army Officer/ Air Force Officer or Doctor/Pilot (but know some basics about these professions) 2. It is an added bonanza for married men. You are in any case not going to be as desperate as the single guys and that might even work to your advantage. Anyways you have nothing to lose.
