The Isle of Wight is an island off the south coast of England. It’s known for its beaches and seafront promenades such as sandy Shanklin Beach and south-facing Ventnor Beach, which is dotted with vintage beach huts. I check out the best places to visit, Where to stay and other highlights inc . . The Needles are 3 huge, white chalk rocks, guarded by a 19th-century lighthouse.
Osborne House, Shanklin Chine, Freshwater Bay, The Needles Old Battery, Godshill and so much more!

Okay, I have been thinking about posting this, and now seems a good time. I am not in a position to travel, and I haven't found a lot of travel videos all that interesting, I guess. However, I can't get enough of YOUR videos. I watch them all the way through, and I learn so much about what is out there. I can't tell you how much I appreciate you. Thank you for taking me traveling with you. I can't wait to see where you take me to next.

As somebody from the north east of England, may I just say that the most important thing about the Isle of wight... Is the Rainbow Chippy But I do have another memory. My friend and I were touring the 3 towns on the south east, probably Shanklin, we had stopped for an iced lolly. we sat beside a minature golf course, where a 3 year old lass was having a day out with her 4 grandparents. this kid swung the golf club, not even looking, and the ball shot down the green, bounced off three sides, and scored a hole in one. My pal and i cheered, the grandparents cheered, passing seagulls did a Mexican wave. All while the girl looked bewildered. it was adorable.

@@stevezodiac491 I live in Cumbria, this is where my family is from born and bred, so know what beauty is. Unfortunately, I have never been to the Isle of Wight, so can’t give a first hand account, only through watching videos such as Tim’s can I imagine the beauty. After reading your comment I gather you have a firsthand experience with the Isle of Wight? If what you say is true, that is a shame.

My Ashmore ( Ashmere) family sailed from the Isle of Wight on, “The ship Ark and the pinnace Dove, set sail from Cowes, Isle of Wight, England on November 22, 1633.” Landed in Maryland. I lived in Maryland for a number of years and did not know it at the time. So much rich history there. Sadly, I’ll never be able to return there to Maryland or The Isle to investigate.

We lived on the Isle of Wight for 3 years and I still miss the place! We had a nice thatched cottage in Shanklin Old Village (very near the Chine!) and I loved sitting in the bath with the window open listening to the sea. Sadly the job market there is terrible, we had to move to retain decent jobs.

As someone who visits the island regularly this is a great video. Haven Hall is a fantastic place I've been lucky enough to stay there a few times. Yes it's not the cheapest but you get what you pay for in life. The owners are great people, with the right balance of engaging and chatting if you want or completely leaving you to your own devices for privacy. It's their refurbished amazing dream home and they're happy to share it with you (and yes for a fair price helps keep up the maintenance of this lovely residence). If you want a high-end relaxing peaceful holiday in an amazing location on the Isle of Wight this is the spot.

Spent my early years in the 60's holidaying on the IOW, mainly in Sandown....the Browns golf centre and boating lake with their fresh cream cakes and just along a bit the Zoo, you never mentioned Blackgang Chine or the coloured sand at Alum Bay, we used to get the train from London to Portsmouth and go across on the ferry and ride the old stock London underground trains down the pier, I went on one of the first hovercrafts from Southsea across to the IOW, great times ....

What a joyful escape your video is! I am a history buff and it was fantastic to see the wartime bunkers. The waterfall was I expected and beautiful. Many thanks from Australia ✨😊☀️P.S your filming and editing just keeps getting better! I honestly don’t know how you keep creating such great content but keep it up ☺️🏆

I have a friend who lives on the Isle of Wight, I see a visit in my future. The accommodation where you stayed gave me a feeling of relaxation and tranquility. It’s a shame the lobster was chewy and minuscule. There’s nothing like a good lobster claw, especially when you’ve cracked the shell yourself and the claw comes out in one piece, so satisfying!

My dad lives on the Isle of Wight, he moved there about 4-5 years ago! Since going there as a child, it brings fond memories and now these memories can be continued!! Highly, highly recommended visiting!! So many more things and attractions to see, including Black Gang Chine, the donkey sanctuary, Amazon World Zoo!! Loved the video👌

Been once very nearly 41 years ago on scout camp. I was there for my 11th birthday. I remember phoning home on the big day and my mother told me of a cat they just got that day. Isac, a black cat. I still think of him when I see an all black cat. Also a literally vivid memory is of the glow worms! I'd never seen such things. Cheers!

Gosh, it was very brave going in the chair lift. You really do suffer for your viewers, I would never be brave enough to go in that chair, it looked very scary!

My son and I just put Isle of Wight on our bucketlist. That model town is fantastic and it's something we'd love to wander through. Another excellent video Tim. Thanks for bringing us there.
