In regards to your point on the McDavid cross check and larkins injury. One was during the play and the other was after the whistle. DPOS has said they allow more during the play vs during scrums so they did follow precedent here IMO.

I'd be extremely excited to see the Wings trade up. I think we can still get a solid player at 15, but if Yzerman and the gang have someone to go after, sounds good to me. LGRW 🐙 🏒 🤘

The board could fall really well, but I would be fully onboard going up to 10-13 to take a high offensive upside swing on their guy. Can always move centers to wing if they go after Catton or Iginla or Helenius or Eiserman. Think there might be an opportunity there.

I don’t think it would be cost prohibitive either. I think it would be my preferred option honestly. Be aggressive (if possible), get your guy here.

Could you do a profile on Ryder Ritchie? I've only been able to watch a few clips on youtube but I liked what I saw and there's a lot about him that just feels right. His stats doesn't look too impressive but it seems he's on a pretty bad team, so I'm thinking maybe he's a bit overlooked because of it?

Hate your “cant let stars get hurt” take. Equal protection/enforcement. Low tier players have their lives ruined by this shit, stars get LTIR vacation. Protect the scrubs if anything. Also Brandsegg-Nygard is high floor and high ceiling- hes not just a well rounded guy, he has elite puck hounding and associated hockey IQ. i think people tend to overestimate the ceiling for low floor players.

I feel like Filip Zadina was that "take a swing at offensive upside" pick when he fell to the Red Wings at number 6. I wanted the Wings to draft Quinn Hughes because I thought they needed a solid defensemen more than scoring at the time. They were losing close games due to late game defensive lapses. They are still suffering from that lack of defense. Can you imagine Hughes and Seider on Detroit's backend right now? Even if they fell further in the draft by placing higher in the standings they could still have had Seider at 10 or higher because they took him way earlier than he was expected to go.

Not a fan of brad’s but it is lol ... he’s a bottom 6 guy who took advantage of being 2c on a very good avs team. Like copp we’ll be shitting on that contract in a few years

@@socialmediag5485 I disagree. I'm not a fan of the term of the contract and would have preferred 3 or even 4 years, but with the cap going up and up, I think it can easily be moved when he has a year or two on the deal if necessary.

@@europason2293 nobody is taking a bottom 6 player in a year or 2 with a cap hit of 5.6. He’ll be on the 4th line before his contract ends . Horrible signing

@@socialmediag5485 And in two years from now, the salary cap will be substantially higher, making that 5.6 mil. cap hit a substantially lower percentage of the cap. He could be a terrific addition to a contending team that might need to solidify their third line. It's a far cry from a "horrible" signing.

Ras was dominating junior at 6'6. MNB is 6'1 and was PPG in the playoffs vs men and WJC. Just because he's an elite on the forcheck doesn't mean it's Rasmussen at all. See alot of Ryan Leonard but with worse hands then Leonard.

It is not the fact about drafting 15th SY does well with that. The major issue is he has to draft better after the 1st round finding those late round gems. So far not that much in four years. This rebuild will stall out without finding bonus hidden talent before other teams can.

Debating the 15th pick is a waste of time. No top end talent and won't see the team for 4 years if he does at all. And Larkin is a 2 or 3C on contending teams
