Hello, would it be common for early arthritis of the elbow/changes to cartilage not to show up on xrays or mris? I'm a weightlifter and my elbow makes a clicking/crunching noise through certain ranges of movement...but an mri only showed 'slight increase of fluid in the joint'...all else normal. I do have some golfers elbow pain though.

I have an inflammation of my Bursitis in my left shoulder. The pain started right after lifting multiple heavy bags of soil to a customers car. I've been on physio for 7 months with no progress. The pain ONLY occurs when I have my left arm extended and either lifting or horizontal with the ground. I had a Steroid Cortisone shot into my subacromial bursitis left shoulder 2 days ago. The shot was NOT painfull. They used an ultrasound to ensure it was injected into the Bursitis instead of a vein.. But I have a result that was not mentioned. My shoulder does not I was told that my shoulder pain would INCREASE within a few days, and then decrease.. 2 days later there is NO difference.. I am still not able to use the shoulder as I'm told not to BUT i have this issue where there is this feeling in I believe a VEIN or two in my arm in the inner side. It RANDOMLY feels like a sharp pulse that feels like something moved in my vein. That part of my inner left arm feels slightly tighter.. The pain in the left shoulder has not increased nor changed.. Just have to randomly place ICE (wrapped in towel) to HELP sooth the VEIN (?) pain... If I TAP that part of where the vein is, I can feel this sharp spike into my left fingers on my outer pinky finger.. IS THIS NORMAL????????? My should is just red from the dye they used. There was VERY little bleeding under the bandaid.
