The main cast of Helluva Boss were originally intended to be characters for Hazbin Hotel and were going to be minor antagonists but they got repurposed. You can also spot Moxie's silhouette when the one asshole boos Charlie, what's thought to be an early draft of Loona at 9:57 (apply this timestamp to the actual pilot video, not this one), the beta version of Fizz to the left of Alastor when he first appears, a character named Crymini just between them who was originally supposed to be part of Hazbin's cast, as well as beta designs for Mimzy, the overlords, and a bunch of extras like the boom mike guy, the cactus cowboy, the slug guy, Rocky, etc. The pilot is packed with stuff like this and if you have the time I'd recommend just inspecting it thoroughly for all the easter eggs.

Man, watching the pilot again after watching the rest of the series really shows how much details there were that I just passed over as just filler stuff. Like you can see Carmilla's agents going around and collecting the angelic steel weapons that are left behind, Rosie crossing out the name of what I assume is her husband on the sign, the V's, Carmilla and Vestial, And you see Charlie's firework attack thing she does in the finale.

watching this pilot after seeing the whole first season hits different. on her first song about the hotel she went trough so many of the actual big shot over lords, like 16:30 that's the ancient one who's precense alone on streets makes people to commit suicides as he walks by.

Regarding the background sound effects like the laugh track, they exist for all the main characters and some side characters. You have the squeaky toys and balloons for Charlie, Vaggie has cannons and animal snarls, Angel has moans and latex noises, and Cherri's bombs have her VAs screams layered in. They're all over and some just completely blend in because of how well they fit into the action going on. There's a video on youtube that has the pilot with only the main sounds muted that explains a bunch of the details that went into it. "Hazbin Hotel Sound Factoids" will find it. Honestly just really cool to be able to go through and hear all the sounds alone. I agree with the idea that it was a bit overboard in places of the pilot, but it was also just really fun and a neat way to express the characters and their thoughts in a more nuanced way.

I feel that Vaggies voice was a lot better in the pilot. In the full show she sounds so monotone while here she sounds more expressive. Her singing voice is amazing though, one of the few times I'd ever say " That was beautiful." Also, Nifty getting hit by the door at 41:12 still makes me laugh hard to this day.

I still wholeheartedly love the voice actors from the pilot, but i also loved the first season! Wish it was a few more episodes to develop a bit more of some of the other characters, but I will happily add Hazbin Hotel to my Collection when it comes out on DVD/Blu-ray!! I need a Season 2!!!

Spoiler Something I never noticed in the pilot before the show is this 34:15. Look at Alastor's eyes, he was looking at Lucifer and as he looks away he has his normal Alastor face but once he starts looking at Lilith there's a shift in his smile and his eyes completely change. He's clearly trying to hide whatever reaction and emotion was trying to come out once he saw Lilith. Combining everything the first season gave us with this shift in Alastor's face I think it's 99.9% confirmation that Lilith is the contract holder.
