Im gonna go ahead and say it, shrek forever after wasnt as bad as people make it out to be

You can literally just skip Shrek the Third and go straight to watching this one and not miss a thing. Which is the best way to experience the Shrek movies.

Thank you Schaffrillas Productions for literally making me go back and see how underrated this movie was and still is.

Shrek Forever After is an underrated masterpiece

shrek forever after is such a good movie , makes me sad how ppl think its bad cause of shrek the third

Shrek was a notorious loner from the first film, as a kid watching this film I just figured the other ogres lived deeper into the swamplands and he'd previously just kept away from them.

Rumpelstiltskin is voiced by Walt Dohrn, who isn’t even a full-on voice actor. He’s an animator who’s worked on a bunch of things, including SpongeBob (his name often appears in the opening credits!), and when he recorded a voice sample for this character, they loved it so much that he because the actual voice. That’s really cool! :)

Funny enough, Rumpelstiltskin is actually played by an animator. His voice was used as a placeholder for test screenings or the like, but they liked it so much they just kept it.

I really like this one it shows alot on how relationships and and family grows overtime mainly with perspective and repetition.

1. The opening of this movie is basically like a representation of what the franchise became after Shrek the Third: loud , obnoxious and kinda gross And Shrek wanting to go back to a simpler time kind of reflects the fanbase's own thoughts on the series 2. I love the reversal of Shrek wanting to be Donkey's friend and Donkey avoiding him. With him coming back and becoming his friend once he sees Shrek cry ,something he *never* does before or after btw. It really shows that, as annoying Donkey can be, his friendship with Shrek is genuine and pure in *any* timeline. 3. 16:30 this scene between Shrek and Fiona towards the last third of the movie is this movie's crowning achievement in my opinion. Because keep in mind who's saying what here: Shrek is trying to convince Fiona that true love exists. The same Shrek who laughed at it in the first movie and didn't think he deserved it in the second one. Meanwhile, Fiona, a fervent believer in it is incapable of accepting it ,as it failed her in this timeline. She lost hope. And when Fiona ultimately asks him where he was ,why he didn't save her her he can't answer. Because its *HIS* fault she and the rest of the cast go through this Mad Max style hell 4. Rumplestilskin may not have the charm or the witty menace of the Fairy Godmother, but there's something so wonderfull about a villaim who not only knows they're evil, but are pretty blatant about it when they have the upper hand. He's this slimy little twerp who really only has as much power as other people give him. He literally didn't *earn* anything he has and he's never satisfied. He literally *rules* the alternate timeline and he *still* makes deals with people that screw them over, just so he can take what little they still have. 5. Overall, this movie was a fantastic lookback at the franchise as a whole and a great ending to Shrek's story

Shrek 4: Shrek has a midlife crisis

OMG! DreamWorks casted Dream to play as the main villain in their final Shrek movie?! No way

I was on the boat of "Shrek 4 is actually really Good" before Schafrillas made his video and I am SO happy to see he has reached people at the point of them defending it on any comment section that dares to say it was anywhere close to "bad".

Shrek forever is severely underrated. They took a failing comedy franchise and made it a serious drama. I think it's great

With how terrible Shrek the Third was I didn't watch Forever After when it came out. I watched it years later On Demand and I liked it. I wish I had seen it in theaters.

I think Schaffrillas video really helped people give Shrek 4 a chance, and boy am I glad

I have to be honest... I actually like this movie more than shrek 1. I really think it's a good way to end the trilogy (yes, trilogy, shrek the 3rd doesn't exist to me)

Alright, I'll admit, rebel warrior Fiona is pretty hot.

Fight me: Shrek Forever After is the most rewatchable Shrek film. Evident in the fact that I've rewatched it the most.

This movie does have its own dose of flaws, but it also work well as conclusion for the whole story.

I would love to see the Madagascar franchise or Wallace and gromit franchise soon. Also make each one 20-45 mins per film. Keep up the comedic gold.

This movie is a great inversion to the first one. It's not as funny, but it returns Shrek to its roots (and is in a limbo where Shrek 3 doesn't really matter that much).

This movie may have been sillier than the first two, but that didn't make it bad. It makes sense that Shrek would want to escape 'human' normalcy, and it does a great job at showing how much his life improved even if he doesn't want to admit it.

The next Dreamworks movies I would love to see them watch is How to train your Dragon. As in my opinion I think they are all good.

I'm not gonna pretend I've been super invested in this franchise, but I do find it pretty neat how they brought everything full-circle.

It's A Wonderful Life in itself is a fairy tale. So, it makes perfect sense for Shrek to riff on it. Instead of lazy, it's secretly brilliant.

As a story Shrek 4 for is pretty solid. I`d say second to the first. It`s just a shame it lacks the flare that the second movie did or it would easily be the best in the series.

I saw this movie in a cinema with my parents! My sister and I had never seen ANY of the other three Shrek films and yet, this one made perfect sense and was still emotionally impactful- which probably shows how good it is. My mom, who doesn't even like Shrek, made the "Do the roar" kid her ringtone and has not changed it since.

The reason Rumpelstiltskin sounds kinda off is that he's not played by a voice actor. He's played by the guy who voiced the animatics during syncup before they added the "real" voices, and the director thought it was funny to just keep him.
