I was running sound for a band playing in Mountain ND, 3 miles from the Cavalier Space Station. Mid song, the band stopped playing, ripped out their in ear wireless monitors, and started yelling at me. Someone came up to me and said, "They must have just cranked up the power to the radar".

Just stumbled across this complex and had no idea this was a thing. I live by the NORAD bomarc site in north bay and it's similar but nothing of this scale. Very fascinating. Would love to see the power plant and or the radar control systems.

You said private ownership. Why would the Cavalier County Job Development Authority purchase portions the complex in 2020? The CCJD “not only to create jobs and increase incomes by the process of economic development, but to create a climate conducive for development within the whole county. Economic development includes the enhancement of human capital, developing community infrastructure and promoting business development.” What projects would they have going on there? There “about” doesn’t collate with the purchase of such an isolated complex? Any feedback on this? Thanks
