The day I met Tom Savini and George Romero was a highlight of my life. Those early 2000 conventions were the best.

I have met Tom Savini several times and even ran into him at a Comic-con. It was so cool he remembers me and is just an amazing person. The backstory is I worked for a small collectibles store and it was a busy night. Tom stopped in and I kept it together about to go full on fanboy. I remained calm and didnt freak out, as I wanted to. He would return later that night and told me that my expression was obvious I knew who he was. To my surprise he posed for a photo and even signed a figure from a movie he worked on. The kicker is my boss let me keep the figure for free. I have the photo with him framed in my den. To me he is just an awesome horror master and wonderful person. It's so great to meet one of your heroes in person.

Remember Tom Savini is a vietnam veteran who saw combat as a photographer for the military. He said with his effects, if it didn’t churn his stomach like it did with real life gore, it wasn’t up to snuff. That’s why he was so good. He saw real GORE. Then made it for film. Tom is a legend. So is Joe Bob.

Even if they ditched playing a movie, I would watch Joe Bob Briggs if he simply did a "traditional" talk show.

That would be cool. I believe about 15 years ago or so he was trying to get a talk show off the ground but it was going to be a political satire show!

@@brandonhendrix7223 That was when he created and I think produced a pilot for "God Stuff." The show didn't get off the ground, but he would later refit it into a segment on The Daily Show in the early years of Jon Stewart hosting the show.

@@switchbuckle5th no, this was around the early to mid 2000s he mentioned this. He said it was going to be a take-off of the O'Reilly Factor. JB has always tried to do lots of things. Even once wanted to do a Joe Bob movie as far back as the early 90s. Alas, none of this stuff came to frution.

Hes been asked plenty about doing a podcast but he says he has no interest. He only interviews people on a podcast with Darcy as a favor to her bc she's shy.

The Prowler is some of Tom Savini's best work. The bayonette scene is incredible.

He did do great work on that movie - it’s just a shame the movie isn’t that good. It’s one slasher I never could really get into
