I actually really like Surgeon on PD, but that's when I tend her to be a pure Doctor/debuff machine with pretty good hitting Incision. I usually don't run Noxious Blast when I'm running it though cause that -33 makes it just kinda pointless. Also this guy is nuts, Vanguard is the way to go with Man-At-Arms with Reverberating Redoubt, he's a killing machine.

I randomly made this all heal vestal build and was in the third act today and could barely do anything against the boss with no judgement or combat skill. She just sat there and healed and it was a waste of turns. I think she has to be proactive in damage and healing as a side thing. Healing by proxy through preventing damage by eliminating enemies

By "trinket" they most likely meant Seeing Sphere, in which case it makes sense to run Burning Stars on your Occultist. You get enough power tokens to drop burning stars every now and then. Without this trinket, there is no reason whatsoever to have stars on Ritualist. Edit: oh, you actually noticed this trinket later on. My bad for commenting while watching

The 4 turn self set-up that requires no-one else consuming your combo and the enemy not dodging or dying in between any of those attacks is just the technique you need to make stars a good ability. See Chaotic Offering might have dazed you. edit: Just gotta say, I've currently got a Hellion with Bloodthirsty (+30% damage) and Lost in Time and Space (+8 speed). Most brutal Howling delivery unit I''ve ever seen. edit 2: I am in tears laughing. It's very on brand that these articles slowly become less and less legible as if something otherworldly is trying to keep them hidden.

I actually agree with Blood on Jester. You can clear Horror obviously but also guaranteed Crit + Might on Finale is fucked up.

Personally love Maniac Flagellant. The ability to add marks and manage friendly debuffs & DOT, far out classes a few back rank dot. And the UNO reverse card of just giving all your debuffs back to an enemy also makes trinkets with downsides stronger.

Encore is great for removing risks for some setups (like vuln to burning stars with occultist) or to do some funny combos (like use firestarter on rogue highwayman, then controlled burn on bosses)

Stone mount works well for MAA as well.

Sergeant is a good path for man at arms, but when I use it my only means of damage is the riposte from retribution. Heck, I managed to beat the Denial boss with a backline man at arms who always cleared the leper's blindness and was a great utility overall, so seeing them put all this damage on him then going with sergeant was comedic to say the least. 😂

Wanted to comment here since you talked about builds, I tried your recommended yellowhand HWM bleed team with a team of Wanderer hellion, HWM, virtuoso jester, and wanderer vestal. I won't lie, I think my implementation was scuffed since I took a team with low DOT res into confession 2, but I beat it! The team did great in road battles, and jester really helped attack the 3rd rank enemies with slice off, but not having a 4th rank slammer other than vestal's judgement and hellion's iron swan meant I had to really cleave my way towards the back line. I could have chosen someone other than vestal, but I felt that her consecrations combined with a smart usage of divine comfort (and a lucky region 2 trinket grab to make her Regens heal 5 a turn, forgetting the name) to top up on health or keep heroes off DD. also I liked the option of having vestal use sanctuary in rank 4 to keep the squishier jester and others a bit safer. Was it fun? Yeah, I like to use DOTs a lot and I can see how the build COULD work! But I think a replacement of hellion with someone such as either man-at-arms or even runaway (for firefly combo Gen and cauterize, since our bleed res was lacking) would complement jester and HWM being the central bleed applies. Having hellion in only rank 1 so that HWM can use highway robbery and using tracking shot instead of duelist meant my hellion was made to either spam wicked hack (and thus defeat the point of bringing her on a bleed team) or use bleed out.

Sad the journalist thought Price of Pride stuns the MAA when he bellows, RIP fire breathing stun dragons for however many players trust the article

I'm late to the party but even though it feels the writer actually played the game, it seems to me that the way he thinks of a build is the skills first, making him dependant on the position and then the path as a "bonus". That seems weird to me. In this kind of game, you think first of what role you want. Then pick the speciality allowing it (here it's paths). Skills should come last and position should be adapted to the build. Or am I playing this game wrong? Also, the problem I find with the writer is to not tell what he/she thinks is important. "Best" is a relative term. Shuffle thinks that damage is most important so his thinking on the game reflects this.

my favourite way to build nuke Leper (A.K.A Tempest) is to max out his debuff resistance so blindness is not an issue

So I have a serious question as a super noob who is trying not to be, am I messing ul choosing Wanderer for Vestal and Flagellant? they are my go to choices because the other classes seem to ruin or minimize my favorite moves in comparison, for example Vestal wanderer can trigger consecration with mantra and it doesn't require you get punched in the face for those tokens to buff the move. With Flagellant it's kind of similar, a good chunk of the moves get altered in a way that feels like they are weakened and for very little benefit so I take the extra candles in stead. Any insights are welcome, because I'm having a really hard time thinking that you could dump so many resources into character classes and have them be specialized into a suboptimal category.

Just finished act 5 and man at arms can become unkillable in so many ways. I hope they buff the others instead of nerfing the good ones. Jester, PD and Man at arms feel like they are far ahead. But I also finished act 5 with a Graverobber with 0 skill unlocks, she is actually pretty decent as a dot extender for PD xD

It's understandable they got the bellow-stun on Price of Pride wrong. The wording on these trinkets is very ambiguous. "Apply on attack". Apply on whom, the enemy or yourself? Bellow isn't even really an attack, it's a debuff. (I know the game treats it as an attack, but I mean, come on) So if you read this, and think it means MaA has a chance to stun himself, and then decide "I don't like Bellow anyway" then you will never find out that you just misunderstood the wording. Plus, for a name like "price of pride" it would make more sense that it stuns MaA (out of humility or something), instead of him suddenly being able to potentially stun the whole enemy team by shouting. I always had to compare to other trinkets, to deduce what it means. Like, understanding that "Gain" means it applies to you, so I guess "Apply" would refer to the enemy. It's like trying to solve some kind of puzzle, just to understand what the trinket does.
