WHAT BROUGHT ME TO KZfaq: I worked at Goldman Sachs, in Private Equity, and built up a $100M holding company. But after being in Wall Street for so long, I got tired of managing hundreds of millions for the rich. Investing was for the few not the many. F that. You all are the reason I do this. We as a society need to get rich together. My mission is to create 100,000 business owners, I hope you’re one.

As always, a great analysis. Newcomers often wonder if it's too late to navigate the financial market, but the market is always unpredictable. Trading has more advantages than simply holding, so it's important to learn before diving in. Active trades are necessary to ride the market's waves. Thanks to Linda Wilburn’s insights, daily trade signals, and my dedication to learning, I've been increasing my daily earnings, managed to grow a nest egg of around 127k to a decent 732k. Kudos to the journey ahead!

I would say NO to the grocery/wholesaler business. Very low margins and its very hard to get shelf space-which you have to pay for. I have worked with several entrepreneurs who had knock out products and it just was a difficult road. As examples: One ended selling out to a major food company who deep sixed their product--did not want a competing product out there for consumers to buy, and the other went totally ecommerce and kept their profits up.

As a GC who has done it for quite a while now, and in a lot of different ways the advice on picking a niche is spot on. Everyone can paint, roof and side a home. Great entry point, but as you get experience and knowledge search for niche markets. Be adaptable. The only thing consistent about my business is we provide an excellent product and excellent customer service. Keep that no matter what you do but be ready to pivot to a new opportunity. I would be cautious about buying a construction "business". I know many from my years of work. I only know a few that are actual businesses. Most of the small construction businesses you will find are centered around the owner. Can you replace him and his experience? Unlikely unless you have done the ground work he did for years.

Well that is definitely one side of the story, in the meantime over to HBR: “More than 60% of employment in 2018 was found in job titles that did not exist in 1940,” according to a research. In 1980, the Census Bureau added controllers of remotely piloted vehicles to its list of occupations; in 2000 it added sommeliers. Those examples highlight the two related ways that technology can create work. In the first case, a new technology directly created a new kind of job that required new skills. In the second, a richer society - full of computers and remotely piloted vehicles - meant that consumers could spend money on new extravagances, like the services of a sommelier.

Well if you plan on opening a bar.. don't do it in France.. restaurants/bars are the most unreliable source of income you can possibly own if you don't offer something never seen before which can be pretty fkin hard. I have 1, which is working great right now, but it wasn't always like that. Take covid for exemple, we had to stay closed almost 2 years, reviews can drown you if you fck up even once or if the bar next door don't like you, people are always searching for novelty, so they might love you one day and go down the road for a change the next just to discover something new, the financial gap is out of this world as far as taxes, ordering liquor etc.. idk how shit works in america.. but i've been in this business for the past 15 years.. run away from it
